WTB: Biturbo Baffling

Someone's got to have one of these lying around collecting dust. Just bought a ped w/ a BT without baffling, and it is loud as crap (depending on the crap)! email me. thnx

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

The best way to repack a biturbo is with steal wool. no lies

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

Truth. some lies, but this ain't one of 'em.

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

do you simply pack the "end" of the pipe with the steal wool?

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

Yup. Stuff it pretty good and then recap it.

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

John Joedicke /

Better still SS or copper pot scrubbers. No rusty crap coming out.

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

they sell 2 stroke muffler packing at any off road dirtbike/atv shop.

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

i like using incense and potpourri

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

Is the diffuser tube still there? Or is the whole gold can just empty?

I have more photos if you need more info. I ordered the end cap from Mopedwarehouse.com

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

yeah, the whole diffuser tube is gone. I am just a tard... and thought that the "diffuser tube" was called the "baffling." Shows how freakin' noob I am. Thanks all for the advice!

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

NEW QUESTION: Should I be using this thing without the gold tube, baffling, and end cap? It is loud as heck, but it works... I am getting up to 40mphs now, as opposed to the 31 I was getting before I bolted this thing on.

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

I am guessing it might make it run too lean...

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

bump

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

I've been pulled over in town for being too loud when I was running sans silencer. Just keep a lid on it when the fuzz is crawling.

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

I am trying to come up with a fabrication for a silencer...

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

Get an energy drink can, hi temp pain and 2 large hose clamps.

Cut the top of the can off.

Paint it with Hi-temp paint. (Black looks cool)

Clamp it on.

I don't know how broken yours is.

Mine still was sticking out.

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

that's a good idea, ryan. I am going to give this a try. thnxs

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

dude... that was a great idea, ryan! it worked great. thnxs again.

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

I'll have pics tomorrow...

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

Hey,

Don't forget to fill it with steel wool. It sounds pretty cool to!

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

I haven't made a diffuser tube yet... should I still fill it with steel wool?

Re: WTB: Biturbo Baffling

Yes, it doesn't really matter. It depends on how quite you want it.
