I think motobecanes have 17" rims.

Re: WTB Motobecane 18" rims

Unless it from the sixties! Worse comes to worse, you can respoke an 18" dirtbike rim into a motoebecane hub. Just make sure they're both 36 spoke.

Yes it is a 1959 I am restoring and uses a 18 x 2.5" wheel. Hard to come by

Re: WTB Motobecane 18" rims

It might be to your benefit to install regular 17" wheels onto your oldie. Then you won't need to put cycle tires on it.

I've actually considered doing this on my Raleigh so I can put some whitewall 17" cycle tires on it.

Rob-where you gonna get 17" whitewalls anyway? And what do you think, would 2.5" tires work on our 17" Mobys?

Re: WTB Motobecane 18" rims

You might be amazed at what I have stashed away...

let me know if you dig some up that are in good shape.

Re: WTB Motobecane 18" rims

I missed out on an old Wards/Moby parts bike this fall that had rims you could have painted. I can't say I know of any right now.
