FS: Murray - Parting out...

I found a better project for myself in a Bianchi just needing tuning, and in so have a Murray which I had acquired to rid myself of.

Frame is obviously tubular steel, and a good candidate for a strong reinforced frame. (cross bar, rigid?) The suspension is good and is basically a magnum suspension. The swingarm is reinforced but not a single bar, like a magnum. The free spirit may have a similar swingarm, I'm not sure. I may keep that for my bike, but sold seperately from the frame the swingarm is $40. Frame and swingarm together for $60. (price gouging on swingarm is intentional to motivate the sale of the frame too, and get it gone)

The 2hp top end is in good looking shape and includes the head. The parts were in a bag when I got it but the jug is a #2 and the head a #4.

$30.

The e-50 bottom end is rough as it sat open to the elements for what seems to be some time. It needs a full rebuild and can basically be considered just a case.

$offers?

Wheels are 12mm axled spokies with a chrome rim. The are in beautiful shape as I put some work into them, and can be seen in this picture on my bike.

$60

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

Nice work, looks like it would have been a very clean bike, grats on the nice find as well :)

just a small FYI tho: a tubular frame means tube cut, bend, and welded together, like some top tank mopeds, most motorcycles, and some cars. This type of frame is pressed from sheet metal and welded together, like most mopeds and cars.

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

Woops you said murray, I guess that must be the wrong pic sry.

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

Taylor I'd like dibs on the frame and swingarm can you send me a pic

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

There is a pic of the murray attached in the top of the post, didn't mean to confuse with the pic of the wheels...

Dan, that's cool but the frame is pick up only in Powell OH (just north of columbus) hope that's cool.

Here's the murray again for the lazy:

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

I might be interested in the whole bike without the top end and pipe even though I already have a murray... How far are you from atlanta?

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

well it was here in savannah with me and I would have been 4 hours, but now it's in columbus ohio and available there...

email sent.

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

Looks just like mine! Minus the engine, of course.

We need to get another Columbus ride together.

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

how is the tank rust wise, i could use it and the petcock if its all good. Thanks

scott

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

Oh, I forgot to add it's fairly gnarley in that tank. It needs a muriatic acid bath and it should be good to go. Def muriaic acid though...

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

Sent you an email re. a couple parts? Did you receive it or is address passe?

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

I had interest in selling the bike whole. I'm awaiting reply concerning that, but will get back to you very shortly. Sorry, been busy times.

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

I could use the kickstand. Mine broke. :(

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

sell me the swingarm! ehehehehe

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

let me get that petcock!

I'd like to buy the rear wheel. How many teeth ore on the drive sprocket? How much shipped to 97214

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

Downhill Harvey (OFMC) /

Oooooops, forgot to ask if it's a 16 or 17 inch wheel?

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

I'd prefer to sell them as a set and have a very good price on them. I'm only looking for $60 + shipping, and I can really say they shine like whoa after the elbow grease I put in them, so consider one wheel free and having paid for the labor if that makes more sense. They're 17 inch puch leileu wheels with (If my memory serves me correct) 12mm axles.

Frame is still for sale with the murray swingarm at this time (sorry coco, not ready to split that up) also for 60, pickup recommended.

I have to track down the kickstand, because it was removed and may not have gone back to Ohio with the rest of the stuff, so... I will let those who emailed me about it first their first dibs, of course.

Any offers on the e-50?

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

Moped Game Sally Struthers /

did you get my email about the pedal sprocket?

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

Yes, sorry for the lack of reply, but thats possible mayyyybe. Ya see I sent all the stuff back with my Dad home from college, and I don't want to ask him to tear the thing apart but I'll see if I can find the disassembly of it in the service manual to print for my pops, and if I can I'll email you.

its pretty easy. just remove the one chain then hammer out those two pins in the pedal cranks.

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

did you get my email about the top end and i wanted to know if you still had the muffler and how much shipping would be to 25411

Re: FS: Murray - Parting out...

Hi was wondering if you still had the rims to sell and possible other parts you still had for the Murray
