good luck!
you'll pay the price even if its shit if what you really want is a magnum from CA.
try ebay, if you are lucky. better odds.
ive got a complete, non running, in no way clean magnum xk, i paid 350 for it, so i will take 350 for it, every piece is there, seat needs covered, tank needs cleaned and painted, sidecovers have been rattlecanned, but its all there, its got a suck 1 speed that may come un stuck, doesnt seem to be rusted, just been sitting a while, this bike does however have the ultra rare 9 volt beep beep horn option from the puch dealer and its all in tact, i can bring it with me to sacremento/auburn the 31st of august......let me know
yee have no faith, but yeah i really want a magnum, and I will find one. i've collected about 21 bikes in 2 months most under $200. No magnums though. I know some old man has one in his backyard somewhere, I will get for $50. Ha!!!
youll find em.
I found one in santa rosa, which turned out to be an uber awesome brown/gold in mint condition.
the other one i had to import piece by piece.
ive collected over 100 mopeds in 3 years, magnums are always more money, even the old throwbacks from the 70s know what they are still
Colby, I'm definitely interested in the magnum. check your regular e-mail. I sent you a message.
where is my magnum?
good luck.
It took me over a fucking year to find mine. It occured to me to look at craigslist Sacramento (instead of SF bay), and picked up a red 1978 Mag XK for $500. It was a bit rough when I got it, but cleaned up REALLY nice. Almost settled for a Maxi. Even those are getting hard to find around here.
I suggest looking at craigslist in smaller towns. Forget SF! Creatures snatch up everything!!! If I didn't pick up mine that night (almost 11pm), some Landsquid from Sac would have bought it.

the creatures definately like magnums. but the people who REALLY love magnums are the T.R.E.A.T.S. in SF.
seriously i think they have like 30 people now and 80% of them own a magnum.
yeah, i know they're hot items but I will find one. I've been searching craigslist all over california. i've been pretty lucky so far. got a running Puch 2 speed $100 and maxi $50. pretty cool, eh! One trick I've found is asking family, co-workers and friends. Cheers!!
why have you been buying so many mopeds? you plan on selling them or something?
if you are just buying mopeds to buy mopeds you should think about how hard they are for other people to find as it is. those 21 mopeds you have bought could all have loving homes.
if you are just picking them up to bring them out of storage, clean them up and make a couple bucks GO FOR IT! thats great. im just not a big fan of moped hoarding.
the treats bought my brown/gold magnum.
its okay, I can still smoke them with my sexy motobecane
don't worry dude! we're starting a moped gang in San Jose and getting the bikes to recruit riders. we have 6 people so far. we might possibly open a moped shop as well. half the bikes we have are junkers but we are bringing them back to life and putting them on the road. mopedhead sj
AWESOME MAN! now thats exactly what i like to hear!
have you met Ben and Eric in san jose?
Ben is a kinda tommy lee looking dude with a bunch tattoos on his arm.
Eric is a cool dude with i think 1 blue eye and one green eye.
anyway both of them know a shit load about mopeds, have a lot of experience and parts and i am sure would love to ride with you guys. you should get in touch with them. they are the guys that ran west coast mopeds
harold, i hoard mopeds, you hate me??
with a passion,
no you guys are different. first of all you are constantly selling your bikes and you purchase them to further the technological development.
im talking about people who just buy any mooped they see for sale that cheap. only to let them gather dust or rust.
yeah, we bought boxes of parts from Ben when his shop closed down. Now if we can just get him to ride with us.
