I'm looking for the bezel for the front light for an early 70's Cady moped. Does anybody have one for sale, or know of a good idea as to how to create a replica?
Also, I'm looking for the rear cover for the back light for same moped.
Cheers,
Greg B.

Do you like the rectangular headlight look? I've always been glad that the Motobecanes imported into the US were fitted with round headlights with the chrome bezel, something about the rectangular headlights looks so out of place to me.
Sorry for offering you no helpful advice and insulting your 'ped in the process--just trying to stimulate some discussion, maybe win a convert to the round headlight camp!
Rather than go to bed like a sensible person would have, I created an animated gif to illustrate the improvement you can expect when upgrading to a round headlight:
I tend to anthropomorphize vehicles, and I think the round headlight makes the bike look more alert or awake. Ok, now I'd really better go to bed, before I get any crazier.
I have seen old Solexes and Vespa Ciao mopeds with a similar rear lens. Congrats on having a running Cady. Mine never worked and I sold it.
Are you needing the headlight housing only? If so I have one of those. I don't have the plastic lens insert for the bulb though.
I'm looking for the frame piece that goes around front of it to hold it all together. Would be similar to the idea of a ring that screws onto a mason jar that holds the flat metal to the glass, if that makes any sense at all. In the attached picture, I believe it would be the meatl piece that holds the glass to the frame. Would you have that piece. If so, I would be happy to get it, or the whole light.
Cheers,
Greg B.
That is the funniest thing. My wife laughed and laughed at the image, and I emailed the link to my best friend. Thanks for the hard work. I'm not the best at doing anything to my moped, so that seems like a pretty big job to try to undertake, but if I could photoshop a round light onto my ACTUAL moped, you'd have me converted.

I'll post a picture of the part I have tomorrow, Aug. 21.
That would be great. You can either post it here, or just email it to me at gburbidge@sasktel.net
