Like the title says, with only a scratch on the front left leg shield. 3000 miles, owned by my grandfather, never modified, regular dealer tune-ups, has a brand new battery, starts right up, runs great, rides great. I think we sold one for 500. but it ran mint, everything worked, and it had loooow miles. It was really peppy though. but the guy also got another running runker and one as parts.
If you're bored, go look up porn or something, not go on a moped site to bash mopeds. You can buy a new Moped for 2k or this one which is like new, kept in a humidity controlled room its life.

No pedals=scooter. Most people dont know the difference. I have been watching those go on ebay also. Saw one that didn't run go for 550. I'm just saying what the value is, but people will ALWAYS overpay on ebay. Goodluck, you're sitting on a goldmine with $3.25 gas prices.

Doesn"t matter what the ebay price is. Anyone who will pay over $300 for a spree IN ANY CONDITION, is either a moron or has too much fucking money. If you get $800 or whatever, good for you, thats the beauty of ebay. I've rode several sprees and worked on a few, they just aren't worth it to someone who knows the model.
I'm not bashing honda, they are all I've owned. I'm not bashing "Nopeds", they ar all I've owned. It's just been my experience that sprees are junk.
You get what you pay for - $300 Spree = junk, hence your experiences. If I bought a $1000 BMW and it kept breaking, I guess I would say that all BMWs are junk...no wait, I wouldn't...
That is the nicest looking Spree I've ever seen.
But...
Spree's were the bottom of line the economy bike. Poor suspension, single speed, and I believe that 85's didn't even have kickstart. Which is real dumb cause small scooters are famous for ending up with a drained battery. I have a Spree. It doesn't run cause the battery is dead. Can't push it can't kick it can't pedal it can't pull start it.
Other than being a little faded and the dead battery its in nice condition. Paid $150.

It the kind of price only a first time buyer with too much money would pay. You might even get it on ebay.

I never said I bought one, I never have, and the ones I rode and worked on were no doubt higher than that since they were fairly new. As for the quality issue, seems to me I see a lot more old expresses around than I do sprees. No need to get worked up man. Besides, I may have been drunk when I posted that.
As for BMW's, how can you compare that to a noped?

For starters, I didn't even know it was called a "scooter". Called it a moped for 20 years and was never told otherwise.
Second - how is asking a high price for something insulting? You just might get it. Besides, I didn't think it was high anyway - especially because the auction is already 2/3rds there 2 days in.
Being told your SCOOTER isnt worth your asking price is rude. If you dont like it, dont comment. Move on...
Sorry I didn't notice the pedals on the Spree in your pictures. My bad. They must fold up for storage when you park it. Wish my Spree had that option...
