F/S Puch Magnum MKII... Great shape!

Daniel Weaver /

1979 Puch Magnum MKII in great condition. Tecno Estoril pipe, custom intake and Mik carb, K&N filter. Paint is very good. No tears in seat anywhere. Tires are in good shape. All chrome shines. Special aluminum pedal pads to support whole foot while riding. Runs about 40MPH. I have all the factory origional parts (carb, pipe etc.) Pic in profile. I can provide more pics if interested. I rode this ped at the Richmond Rally this year. $650 O.BO. Hanover/ York PA. Will delivery locally.

Thanks in advance,

Dan

hey i was wondering are there any clearance issues on

the techno estoril on a magnum with the pedals/feet?

I noticed you have a funny looking crank on there and

this one guy wants one but I dont know how compatiable

they are, thanks

Re: F/S Puch Magnum MKII... Great shape!

There are no clearance issues. You have to move the hole in the mount and then use a spacer. I get these brass? spacers at a hardware store that work well.

Re: F/S Puch Magnum MKII... Great shape!

so the techno and magnum work well then?

Re: F/S Puch Magnum MKII... Great shape!

Im just curious because i noticed in his picture that he has some fabbed up pedal crank or foot peg and i didnt know if it was for convienience or for it being too close

Re: F/S Puch Magnum MKII... Great shape!

Nick,

There are no clearance issues as far as the crank hitting the pipe. All

Magnum's have a wider crank than the Maxi's. This Magnum has the factory

crank and arms. The pads for your feet are connected to the crank arms and

can be removed for pedals. A Tecno Estoril will not fit a Magnum unless you

heat spring bend the header pipe to fit the angled port of the Magnum

cylinder. A very heavy spring and heat is used to do the bend properly.

Ok, sorry I should have said this before, the pipe would go on a 2 speed but with the standard Metrakit 64cc kit, so there is no angled exhaust port, I know I will have to fab up a new mounting bracket, but it is good to know there are no clearance issues, and Im assuming it should be fine since its going on a straight top end, tell me if Im wrong but this should all go togethter no problem with the kit right? thanks a lot

I'm trying to post a better pic of the moped for sale.

Re: F/S Puch Magnum MKII... Great shape!

You can't link it from your computer. Upload it as an attachment. Right above where you type, there is a button marked "browse." Hit that and then find it on your computer and it will upload it.

Re: F/S Puch Magnum MKII... Great shape!

Thats not the original speedo is it? Huret made moped speedo's but I've never seen or heard of one on a puch. They're a garelli brand. I may be wrong but all my garelli's have them and no other mopeds do.?

Re: F/S Puch Magnum MKII... Great shape!

Hurets came on a variety of bikes; notably, every Motobecane I've ever rode had a Huret.

Re: F/S Puch Magnum MKII... Great shape!

hmmm noted, but the style is what led me to that. Just my thought. Have you ever seen one of those on a puch???

Re: F/S Puch Magnum MKII... Great shape!

I've seen CEV and VDO speedos on Puchs, but never a Huret. The only ones I can think of that might've had a Huret would be certain model Allstate/Sears Puchs from the 60s or so.
