Trade: Avanti AutoPower + $100 for a YELLOW Hobbit

Hi - I'd like to offer a trade to someone with a yellow Honda Hobbit (any year...) I'd like to trade my Avanti plus $100 for your yellow Honda Hobbit. Must be yellow and must be in running condition. So you'll get a LOW miles, newer moped in great condition plus $100 for your complete and running Honda Hobbit.

The 2001 Avanti AutoPower is in great condition, runs and rides great... get's up to an indicated 40mph... blue w/ a cafe fairing and long seat. In great condition and has about 115 miles on it. Needs nothing other than registration.

I'd like to trade with someone in Southern California (San Diego, LA, Orange, Riverside...), but may look beyond the state if it's a good deal.

If you need pics, I can send a couple...

Thanks for your time...

Re: Trade: Avanti AutoPower + $100 for a YELLOW Ho

why a YEllOW hobbit?

We get made fun of bad enough riding black mopeds. Yellow????

Re: Trade: Avanti AutoPower + $100 for a YELLOW Ho

Yellow Hobbits are unrestricted to 30mph (at least on the 70's models), red ones can only go 20mph (without mods...).

So in this case, yellow mopeds are faster...

I'll also include a Krielder Flory parts/project bike for free.

Needs tires, carb, headlight, seat, few other odds and ends...

Thanks.

Re: Trade: Avanti AutoPower + $100 for a YELLOW Ho

how about a red one that was derestricted and a can of yello spray paint?

Re: Trade: Avanti AutoPower + $100 for a YELLOW Ho

Larry Harrison /

I know of a couple yellow hobbits in Sacramento.

Put cylinder kit and expansion chamber pipe

on for added performance. Of course then

the bike would no longer be legally a moped.

The PA 50 II 1978 was yellow but I believe

it was available in other hues in latter years.
