Re: McDonalds Surf n Turf mungus would you eat one?

Got some live bad feedback from a buyer of one. It is just one burger patty on top of the normal fish sandwich with a bun top over it. Ends up to be about 75% bread.

Re: McDonalds Surf n Turf mungus would you eat one?

i know it's terrible but i can't resist a fillet o fish

although back in the day when they used to fry in lard they were 100x better.

Please re-read my post for clarity, and I'll help you this time by boldfacing key words and phrases, and reiterating their meanings for you:

I don't touch McDeath (meaning "I never eat at McDonalds"), or about any (meaning "hardly any of them, but I don't completely abstain from all of them") fast food joints. I'll occasionally (meaning "sometimes I will") grab a Veggie Delight sandwich from Subway (full acknowledgement that this is "fast food," hence the aforementioned qualifiers), but it's rare (meaning "I don't do it often, but I do").

Hope this helped. (edited)

The old lard fries were good. They were a great party snack back in the HS days of driving around.

Re: McDonalds Surf n Turf mungus would you eat one?

Aww man I can love some trash food. It tastes good! Even if it isn't haha.

Don't get me wrong I like good food but I can very fully enjoy some slime too.

So many dumb nostalgic memories of eating huge piles of shit from McDonald's late with friends, or Krystal, taco bell. Rally fuckit whatever.

I think the biggest holdup for alotta people is the shame of eating it. Hence the popularity of Popeyes chicken sandwich- its the same great cheap slime greasebutter flavor but somehow generated a following enough to say it's not just fast food and then you can enjoy it shamelessly

Re: McDonalds Surf n Turf mungus would you eat one?

Fast food is like pop music, all the originality is removed and it's just distilled down to be as simple and easily divested by the biggest possible market. It's not good but if you let go of the fact that you're listening to a very generic recipe for a hit, its still catchy as fuck and you can totally dance to it.

That said I feel like food in general had gotten a lot better in the past decades, places started to differentiate based on legit good food, maybe a more receptive generation demanding quality over quantity?

Anyway i love good food too, food is one of those places that my attraction to socialism falls apart, ya know? But I still wholly allow myself to enjoy trash too (edited)

Re: McDonalds Surf n Turf mungus would you eat one?

Eh I dunno about shame, you really think that matters? I got to be about 30 years old and just can't subsist on a diet of PBR and hot pockets anymore.

Last time I ate at rotten Ronnie's, my dad and I were coming home from buying a truck about 2 hours away and he wanted to stop so after some arm twisting he convinced me to eat a breakfast burrito which I thought didn't have meat.

Nope, 2 solid days of ripping shits, smelled just like the food that went in. I love me a big Mac, just can't do it anymore. Maybe chicken nuggets? I dunno. Not worth taking a chance.

Of all things I can and do eat taco smell. You can actually get some stuff on the menu resembling real food. That cheezy gordita crunch damn yea

Re: McDonalds Surf n Turf mungus would you eat one?

Oh def not everyone, but shames a big part for many I think

It doesn't leave me feeling great

I just at at some shithole chain hoping it was decent called whisky river

Its owned by Dale Jr, and named after a mock western town that Dale Sr. Built on his estate. Rich people are fuckin weird.

Like a whole lil western town, named after the Willie song

Anyway, it was your generic American trash but I figured with whiskey in the name maybe they could do me a decent old fashioned but man that was the worst cocktail. Even w decent whisky they put the club soda in. Wtf, like well sprayer club soda. Still 20 bucks, that's like good cocktail dollars, but holy shit woof. I think I'd rather a decent can of suds and mcds generic brand of yumslime

Re: McDonalds Surf n Turf mungus would you eat one?

Every time I eat there, I get pretty sick.

The egg mc muffins I can tolerate.

That’s a hard pass from me, fam.

Re: McDonalds Surf n Turf mungus would you eat one?

I'm spoiled with so so many good food options in Austin. I worked in restaurants for half my life and have higher standards than some but I'm honestly hard pressed to find something not good here other than bad fast food/chains like chilis and pluckers. and I still get down on some cheap fast food when the occasion is right but those McDonalds monstrosities are a bit overkill. 2 hot n spicy's and a basket of fries is something like $5, I like that.
