Mark...That is simply stunning. I love love love your collection. I built home made airplanes as a teenager and vividly remember getting very high on the "dope" that I painted on the paper wings. It was the roundy round string set up and I piled min. 2 planes into the ground. Remember buying a .049 powered red/white/blue WW II Mustang in Grand Forks N.D. It lasted about 10 minutes before getting atomized in the dirt. Great fun while it lasted. My buddy still has a .049 powered funny car purchased around 1970. These ran on a string and did about 200 scale MPH. Couple of years ago he takes it to Gooche's hobby shop to buy some nitro and a glow plug cord. It was new in the box and the clerk freaked out. He said..You gonna run this thing? Do you have any idea what it's worth? Good advice...It's still new. Always had a desire to buy one of those 1940's cars that I believe were on a string and on a wood track. Saw one episode of American pickers where Mike paid north of 2k for a nice one. Thanks for your input and the pic of your collection. This never gets old...Cheers.
