Man, I love Old Boy! That hallway fight scene is one of, if not the best ever made. Continuously shot over 3 minutes, it is just amazing.

Will check this one out! Never seen a dark sci fi comedy from the Soviet Union before. Thought of a few more at work:

Werner Herzog rules. If you can find "Even dwarfs started small," you'll see one of the most fucked up movies ever.

It's about a bunch of dwarfs who take over an insane asylum (that's staffed by dwarfs) and just break shit through the whole movie.

It even has a few "moped related" scenes (it's actually a Honda, I think )

Herzog's first movies were critically acclaimed, and he was thought to be the next biggest rising star director in German film, and then he made this piece of shit, which pissed off everyone. And I mean everyone.

From film critics, animal rights activists to medical professionals, everyone.

Total classic. I can't believe I forgot to mention it earlier

Originally the entire movie was intended to be about the adventures of Miss Canada, but the actress portraying her, Carole Laure, quit during the commune scene. After that the plot about the female boat captain was written and added to the movie.

The BBFC refused to give the film a UK cinema certificate in 1975, effectively banning it in the UK.

Carole Laure was asked about this movie: "That was a sad experience," she says. "I admire Dusan very much but after he signed me to the movie, he asked me to do things no human being could do. I had to refuse. I could not do these things as a person, let alone an actress. I don't mean sex scenes, to them I have no objection if the script is right. I mean much worse things than that.

If anyone's interested I did find Sweet Movie on a "free" streaming site. If you have good protection on your computer or have a throw away lap top like mine there's lots of good movies here. Please note: There's a ton of sketchy pop ups on these sites. However I did find a hot blond nymphomaniac that wants to meet me. She even has her own beer truck and is only 2.5 miles away! Thanks so much!!! I was looking to hard and oblivious to good old YouTube. I'm only about one minute into the movie and liking it already. I still feel guilty about hitting a dwarf several years ago. He was dancing with my wife and said her hair smelled nice. I really shouldn't joke about handicapped people. If it weren't for them I'd never have a place to park....Cheers.

I've seen a few since my twin daughters are into anime and I'll send this title to them. They are obsessed with Japanese culture and Manga books. For a while they had a huge collection of obscure Japan domestic market X Box consoles. Every color imaginable. Fun fact: Used electronics more than 6 months old are classified as "junk" when they hit the Amazon Japan auction site. Here's an older pic of part of their collection...Cheers.
