*** FOUND THE PROBLEM ***
Besides me being an idiot that ignored my special light...
DO NOT USE FRAM OIL FILTERS!!
I always bought oem in the states. The BX here only sells Fram. I bought the fancy one but guess that doesn’t matter.
The guy renting out the garage bay on base was seriously concerned about the quality of fram filters. Said he: “wouldn’t use a fram filter on a two stroke”. Which I thought was pretty funny.
What looked like chunks of the anti drainback valve were found sticking up the oil pressure relief valve.
It was a lot of fuss getting to the valve. Once the oil pan was off, the retaining bolt comes off, the spring drops out and (at least in my case) you have you get your pinky up in there and wiggle the valve out.
I cleaned the bore and valve and then oiled it up and placed it on my finger. Finger banged the hell outta that hole and got several more chunks and particles of hard orange junk.
Fired it up, engine ran quieter. No smoke. Lots of lights on the dash. But good oil pressure.
The problem was 100% a stuck pressure relief valve. And the valve was lodged on pieces of failed oil filter shit.
