Re: Do you love me?

When I was a kid my parents would give me the service merchandise catalog and tell me to pick some things for christmas. I always asked for the omnibot 2000. Never got it. It was super expensive. I also asked for a bb gun and never got that

Yes.

Re: Do you love me?

Hope they get hired at Chucky Cheese!

Re: Do you love me?

They will become the enforcers for AI. The resistance doesn't have much time left

Re: Do you love me?

Look on the possible positives. Like altered carbon. Maybe our consciousness can be downloaded into an AI processor and we can live forever as dancing robots.

I wanna be the dog with sock puppet mouth. Totally my style.

That would be nice and one can hope for that.^^ More likely to happen as AI evolves, is that AI will realize that humans are the root cause of all global problems. Will AI take matters into its own hands to eliminate those problems? I hope I'm not around to see the later.

Re: Do you love me?

I don’t think technology or AI will ever “take over” and eliminate humans.

I think we are going to evolve as a species to be a sort of hybrid existence: organic and machine. Not like a cyborg. Just that we will be totally dependant on it for everything.

Sound Familiar.

People capable of living without the connection will cease. Nobody will know or remember how to live a life outside of their part in the system.

I fear that. I like being an individual. I know it is less efficient. But, that is the part about being human which I enjoy. Making my own way and finding life as I seek to survive and even enjoy some things.

I would like to think about robots and such working along side us as helpers like the good droids in the Star Wars universe. I never see humanoid war machines fighting us for the planet. Just an over-automation making human ability absolute nothing.

Hopefully you are correct. The problem is that if we as a society hand over all the control for AI to manage and "make our lives better" then we are all vulnerable to whatever AI deems fit or logical. At that point when AI realizes that humans are the cause of climate/environmental disaster with the end of the world as we know it looming, who's to say what will happen. When a program continues to run and investigate all possible scenarios of an outcome it will always come back to the root cause: humans. We will destroy ourselves in the end with technology. It's already happening. Look around. Social media at the touch of a finger has become such a distraction that half the population have become detached from reality and what is really going on in the real world.

Re: Do you love me?

I fixed an old Emiglio toy robot from the 80s, found it on the roadside on a trash day

my daughter was scared as fuck, it's like almost 3 ft tall and remote controlled with a voice walkie-talkie thing through the controller, so you can make him talk in robot voice

and I could imagine that being terrifying to a toddler, an unfamiliar robot that's the same size as you, chasing you down with flashing read eyes while speaking in the distorted voice of your father...

she loves it now though, her best friend wants to play with it every time she's over. it wasa good score, altho for all the effort I put into fixing and cleaning it all up, it's wrecked now and covered in random stickers and stuff. it's all for fun tho, this was your destiny emiglio!
