Do something nice today for someone you don't know.

One thing, that's all.

Donate some food to a local pantry, pay it forward for the old person behind you at the grocery store, anything at all.

But above all else, be nice to each other.

Re: Do something nice today for someone you don't know.

Anonymously.

I dropped a 10er to the old guy playing guitar on the street. Transeint without id.

That's rough I pointed him on how to get it resolved

He isn't the camping addicted. Lots of homeless are homeless because the do not want responsibility. Its a life choice.

Those people ruin it for people who really need the help. All the local charities are out of cash 3 to 5 weeks into the quater here.

People overuse the food banks. They have but want extra cash every month. I used to use the food bank only when I was totally bereft of cash and had a week to go till payday. I see the same people mostly overweight with overweight kids 4 or more leave with 6 bags of stuff mine all goes into a bookbag. They have a new minivan I have a 30 year old moped. They don't have insurance either. The message I am trying to convey is not random kindness but directed kindness people you know people who are just seemingly put in front of you the universe is self correcting if you let it.

At the risk of sounding like I am tooting my own horn (which in all honesty, anyone who posts about the great things they are doing is tooting their own horn), I want to toot away, and tell everyone what I have been doing for quite some time...

I have been trying my best to make Don Ohio feel as uncomfortable as possible posting his brand of idiocy on the OT. I'd say that along with other fellow comrades who have been doing the same, we've been fairly successful, and the OT has recently been a nicer place to hang out in.

At the time of this writing, his last OT post was nine days ago (though I fully expect a retort from him after he reads this, and he always lurks in the OT, and usually can''t help himself but to post a response to anything I post that bruises his fragile ego).

Well done, fellow comrades! (edited)

I'm kind every day to every person i meet except to homophobic racist pieces of shit like ==Don.

All racists need to die.

Re: Do something nice today for someone you don't know.

One of the best gifts we can give to others is free.

Unconditional love, understanding and forgiveness.

A person can stabilize and give security to others. To be a place of safety, a refuge, to make a foundation.

The world has physical needs and philosophical ones as well.

Everyone I meet, I try to be sure they are comfortable around me. That I will never judge them for their faults. I will offer correction or criticism if they are willing to discuss. But, that’s not the point.

I really, genuinely, value all people and care about their feelings. I try to understand their motives and “perceive” their behaviors as they intended.

I think Don Ohio means well. Based on his world view and environment, he is trying to “help” us all. The times he posts on other forums with advise, he seems to be giving good advice. I don’t know anything about Tomos. So 🤷🏻‍♂️. Can’t say I’ve seen it all either. Surely you will correct me if I’m defending a criminally evil person.

OT tends to be sarcastic and crazy stuff anyways.

So, as much as I can do to give physically to those who obliviously need it, I will. The world needs a lot of love right now too though.

Hell, the biggest reason there are even people suffering is because there isn’t enough people left that truly care about others. Resources could be more evenly distributed. Wars and preparing for wars could go away.

The motions of our societies gain momentum first from our thoughts and then our actions. We have to protect ourselves from things that are apparently wrong. But we don’t have to hate the people.

Telling someone the truth is nice. No? Sometimes the truth hurts tho so theres that.......LOL!

Re: Do something nice today for someone you don't know.

I have no problems with right wing conservatives, if you hate all your fellow men equally that's your problem. If on the other hand you are a disgusting homophobic and racist piece of shit, you deserve nothing but the sweet release of death.

I love ya Bas. Dont let that dirty old man get to ya. His time is coming.

Re: Do something nice today for someone you don't know.

I was gone for a long time. So, I guess I’m “new” here again.

Don’t know what is really going on. I’ve been around real bad people. People that wanted to hurt me and then kill me. I’ve seen, and touched, true evil.

People that talk in a way that I don’t like doesn’t compare.

Hate will never take over my higher decision making. If something is bad enough to NEED removed, that will be a forced (but logical) solution to an unpleasant problem.

This is an Internet forum. No need for high blood pressure and hurt feelings. I’m sure stuff is said on here that is absolutely wrong. I’ve see that myself. Don’t give it power to influence you.

I’ve had a few so I’ll quit. Nothing but love for you all though. Spar as gentlemen.

Seems I've heard you brag about contributing to a GoFundMe I re-posted here a couple years ago. Funny, I can't remember what the deal was. Clearly, you've not only remembered it quite well, but you continue to remind people here what a do-gooder you are.

Since you need more validation for that good deed you did a while ago, here you are, Don. Hope this makes you feel the good Christian you fancy yourself to be:

LOL!

The only reason people get angry with Don, and I'm one of them, is he insists his views are the ONLY way to live, that he alone knows "the way". He comes from a time when that was all people knew, that time is long gone. He is too old and stubborn to notice or care, beating the dead horse because those idea's worked for him, refusing to accept the world has changed. His moped knowledge is good, 2 stoke theory on these old bikes is the same, a known quantity if you will. The idea that religion and hyper conservatism is the "one true way" is not only offensive, it is dangerous. THIS is why people rip on him, he is entitled to believe and live as he chooses, but to force those beliefs on others is absolute crap. He deserves every scathing word.

^ Word! The universe IS self correcting, if you let it or not, it is just better for YOU if you let it! :) People always say save the earth...lol, the earth will be fine, it's people that need saving.

I mostly get angry that Don is taking up precious oxygen that much greater beings—such as cockroaches—can be using.

LOL!

Re: Do something nice today for someone you don't know.

I'm not that mad, busy watching my city burn....ugh, but everyone can believe what they wish, when they start preaching is when I draw the line, hell I'm old, I'm tech ignorant, but I know my time is fading and I have accepted this, unlike Don who keeps beating the dead horse, I try and learn and I slowly 'am, he refuses to accept the now...I have too, but there is no stopping it, I'm happier that I started learning, and not bitchy like he is. The funny thing is he can carry on a decent convo about things like bikes or cars, but ideology....goes off the rails.

Re: Do something nice today for someone you don't know.

I hear what you’re saying. I get it.

My grandmother was as big a racist, homophobic, conservative right wing Christian you could ever meet. And she was short tempered, rude and mean. Chapel couldn’t write a better character.

Life made her that way. I won’t bore with details. And the reality of her “choice” to be different was nearly impossible at best.

I loved that woman. I tolerated her for her good cooking when I was a little kid. As a man, I saw the behavior that layers of scars produces and I loved her even more for it.

IF she was a major political or community leader, I’d say we would have needed to shut grandma up and take away her keys. But, sitting at her dining room table, chain smoking, saying outdated nonsense didn’t hurt anyone. My aunts and uncles all learned to be better, more tolerant people because of it.

I’d rather hold the hand of the old and dying as the suns sets on their generation. As their ideas go to rest with them. Calmly coming into a new age. Not pissing on their graves and perpetuating thoughts and actions of hate and non-acceptance.

Re: Do something nice today for someone you don't know.

^ well, you are a better man than I, but I think I'm more than fair when I say he has every right to live and believe as he chooses, but here on a public forum, if you go spouting that shit expect, and take what you get. I would bet he doesn't speak that way in front of real people, as he know what that would get him.

Re: Do something nice today for someone you don't know.

I helped a guy get spark on his Puch on MA and a bunch of other new moped owners. I still remember the people who helped me on forums when I was stuck. Tip the counter workers extra always because they are taking a big risk. Lirtle things add up. (edited)

Bas I love you brother.

But the pendulum swings both ways.

You come off with just as much hate. All of that shit is negative.

I would lock you and Don in a room chained catty corner. Away from each other With a good meal party supplies and a 6 hr sit down lock in. Then you see everyone got an asshole and an opinion.
