It’s definitely worth a look! Not for everyone but nothing is. It’s much flatter here compared to the other cities in Montana and is the most populated (still only 110k people) A big change from Seattle for sure!

House prices are pretty cheap especially vs Seattle. I have been considering it as well since renting sucks and I have a large dog so makes it difficult finding a place. You can find a decent mobile home for an easy flip or rent out for 15-35k. A decent 3 bed house on nice plot of land within town +\- 200-250k. I saw a 1 bed house with a big yard in butte MT for 12k actually.

Had my eye on this one wth the attached garage (Heights is a good low crime area to live, If you don’t mind a little sketchy stuff south Side is cheap and lots of fixeruppers) but not trying to buy a house right now or possibly ever if I can finish my school bus conversion.

Aurora, Twinsburg, Chagrin Falls, Bainbridge, Manuta, Hudson, Stow, Kent, Solon, Northfield, Cuyahoga Falls, Macedonia areas of Ohio are really good and only a short commute to Cleveland, The weather is very good with several riding days through the short winter

What are the winters like?

I liked Calispell area, but Great falls sucks. Like the Texas of the north. Don’t gamblers(poor idiots) pay all your taxes? If the south wants to secede again, I vote that MT and MI go too.

Kalispell is a fun place in the summer near the lake and not far from GNP. You’re thinking of Idaho as the Texas of the north and I won’t defend great falls it’s pretty grimy but does have some nice places. There’s the Sip N Dip lounge that has real live mermaids and the town has a huge cement skate park.

There’s plenty on “casinos” but most are wise enough not to go, mostly retirees or tourists. Really more of a way to drink for free or cheap but sadly some get carried away.

But our tax money primarily comes from tourism... Yellowstone national park, Glacier national park... ever heard of them?

Also you really want Montana to secede from the US with all the active missile silos we have? 😘 Nah you don’t need that stuff!

I am well aware of the silos. More silos there, but less warheads on them than at some other locations in the US. That’s why Great Falls was so disgusting. I got to see further into all that than I wanted to. Was scheduled to go into a silo but weather got too serious. You have to worry more about snowy and icy roads there, the wind will blow you off the road.

what are the moped/weed laws like there? in GA, mopeds requires NO documentation of any kind. i fear moving to a state i'd need to get my mopeds titled and insured or some shit.

I work with this company in Denver through my job, one of the owners has a literal missile silo. I dont know the details but he got it for under a million bucks, which is like going price for tiny condos around there... it's far from town I guess like dude commutes an hour and a half or some garbage, and it's even farther I think, but still that's cool. he doesnt live in it but is building a climate controlled garage and other shit in there. fucking rich people shit
