We're a week in to lockdown in France. In our region it seems to be ok (South West), it's more in the North East of the country that it is proper crisis point. The French president said it was going to be 15 days, but there is already talks of between 4-6 weeks.
We can go out to the supermarket to get supplies and the stocks are fine, we didn't get the crazy panic buying here. You can go out of you house boundary once a day for excercise and only with people from your household. Police helicopters are out looking for gatherings of people. It is €135 fine if you are caught being somewhere you shouldn't be, €1500 the next time and €3500 + 6 months prison the third time.
It has been high 60's low 70's weather wise all week, so we have been in the garden most of the time. BBQ's for dinners, got the badminton net out, me and my boy play some rugby or football. I've done so many things in the garden I've been wanting to do, but haven't had chance to because of work. We are going to enjoy the outside as much as possible, because rain is bound to come along at some point and then I'll turn my attention to indoors and maybe get my Puch E50 rebuilt.
We video call my Mum in the UK. She has cancer and has had a letter from the government to say she is at high risk, so should self isolate for 12 weeks! Over there Boris Johnson just announced this evening that the UK is going on lockdown for 3 weeks.
We've still got lots in the fridge and freezer, so probably won't need to go shopping until the end of the week. I'm quite enjoying it really, but we are lucky that we isolated before it got bad. (edited)
