No one cares about your guns and half-baked political bullshit.

You are such a charmer!

It's your business. Just the sound of a Glock 40 going off would freeze most criminals' blood in their veins.

Re: Stephen Keller? What's this?

I still remember the dance, and when you could get MIB toys at Taco Bell.

Re: Stephen Keller? What's this?

And Don, since you're so pro police and military, not once did you ever praise the MIB for keeping Americans, and the world safe from alien invasion. Not once have you talked about the lives lost in the great space war and the broken and torn apart families, and children that have to grow up without a father they don't even remember having. What the FUCK is wrong with you? (edited)

Dude, I'm just not as scared as you. There's no monster in my closet and no gun wielding attackers hellbent on taking out my family.

Its hard for Don to comprehend the fact that some people just don't need guns...

I'm not scared, I'm prepared. To help you out is my duty. It's called assisting the weak and feeble-minded. YOU are living in a fantasy world. I hope your family never suffers for your anti-protective attitude.

When THEY bring a gun to a robbery, or a mugging, you gonna talk them out of it? Get real.

Don, even tho I'm pro gun, I do realize that a gun is not the only or ultimate defense. You do not seem to understand that anyone can be stripped of a weapon, its only a matter of time for the opportunity. Its ok, you are old, feeble and week minded.

Don, it is STEVEN not Stephen. Also, The most effective form of any combat art is changing according to the minute circumstances of every moment. Any art can be effective at some time. If you are truly following a martial way you know that there is no one correct way for all time. The same applies to guns. Steven doesn't need to carry, he'll simply take your gun away and use it on you. (edited)

Re: Stephen Keller? What's this?

I understand self-defense...……….have had to use it before. A gun will stop a knifing, shooting, murder by most means. That's why YOUNG, capable police wear them.

You can believe all you want you can disarm a situation...………..but you ASSUME too much.

Likewise pot, kettle. You'll think differently when your own gun is taken and used on you by someone else. A gun is but one of many ways not a fail safe donnie boy (edited)

Re: Stephen Keller? What's this?

Neither is an antibiotic, but it's your BEST chance to deter violent crime..

Re: Stephen Keller? What's this?

Re: Stephen Keller? What's this?

risk reward analysis. i'm 3x more likely to die falling off a ladder than during a home invasion. Further having a gun doesnt prevent home invasions, and adds risk of elevating a non-fatal robbery to a gunfight.

So you're proposing it as a necessary protection and preparedness, I'm recognizing 1) that the risk of your proposed scenario is very low and I'd be better rewarded focusing my efforts preparing for other hazards, such as improving my diet and exercise

2) that the proposed solution of having a gun to protect myself is not the best or only solution, and is only successful in preventing the crime less than half the time.

3) A gun could actually make the situation worse, and this is also true almost s often as the success case- tha the gun is used against the victim, or that the gun escalates a nonviolent crime into a violent one, and can force fatality as an outcome.

and bonus 4) a gun in the house adds additional separate risks of enabling suicide, accidents or fatal emotional outbursts, which are all far more deadly than the imagined shooter coming to kill me.

So TLDR; guns are an ineffective solution to a unlikely problem and actually increase risk.

Re: Stephen Keller? What's this?

still, i'll admit that guns are fun to shoot, I am totally OK with hunting, and honestly because of our impact on natural predators we need to hunt.

Sport hunting though, fuck that's really creepily sadistic and insane. I don't know anyone that shoots trophy for fun, thankfully. good lord that makes me uncomfortable even imagining the kinda sick fuck that gets off on that.

Right, by escalating it with a gun.

Re: Stephen Keller? What's this?

LOL! By DELIVERING yourself and Fam with a gun.

I'm sure if thats what the bible tells ya to do then you will do it without question. So please quote your bible about guns and taking anothers life, or escalating violence hypocrite.

Re: Stephen Keller? What's this?

Are you in a bad area Don? If so, I can see the paranoia.....but where I live in just don't fear crime, 20 odd yrs in the same area has shown me the safety of it.

You're an old overweight white conservative fake Christian windbag. With your gun (and behind your monitor), you're a tough guy. More likely than not, unarmed in real life, you are the weak and feeble-minded that you speak of.

Because it is my duty to assist the weak and feeble-minded like yourself, if I ever saw you in real life, I would put our differences aside, and I would help you cross the street, or bring your groceries to your car.

Fox kool-aid will do that to ya^^^

Re: Stephen Keller? What's this?

Here's my personal experiences with guns as self defense and otherwise

1) a friend had a scooter robbed and during the robbery charged out with a gun, ratatat tatted and all the kids scattered. Luckily none were armed and it dis not escalate, however they were pissed and returned days later and knocked the garage off its foundation with a stolen truck, totalling the building.

2) a friend heard a home invader outside his home, he charged out and threatened the intruder and fired a warning shot in the air the man turned out to be his landlord's roof repairman. The mentality of fear and protection escalated a situation from a poorly communicated repair job to a dangerous and irresponsible reaction that lead to fines and criminal charges for discharging a weapon in city limits

3) a friend (not really friends, that kid sucked) got a rifle and wanted to "hunt" and upon finding a beaver the first moving thing, psychotically shot it twelve times like a total maniac

4) another highschool"friend" lit up a bunch o turkeys behind my other friends house, nearly deafening everyone else. We ate it, it was real gross.

5) I got shot in the eye with a bb, luckily my eye and brain survived but it was surgically removed at great expense along with my entire left sinuses.

6) in court for a stupid prank, i waited through a trial of a man who had pulled a gun on his wife during a spat

7) skeet shooting at a range with friends a number of times i had a really fun time

8) my grandfather teaching me to shoot clay targets and really enjoying it and learning from him

9) my friend buying a pistol and setting up a sand pile behind his house so we could practice it was pretty fun.

10) my uncle in law putting a loaded pistol on the Thanksgiving table while my 3 yold daughter and 6 year 0ld nephew were running around playing because he wanted to make a point that " you're not gonna take his guns away"

I am aware these are personal experiences and not everyones but putting it here for reference
