Re: According to Gallup,

2) trade policies. again I'd have to see what the actual concerns were. from my point of reference the biggest challenges for manufacturing in the US has been cost of raw materials, the presidents trade wars only served to upset the existing status quo costing billions of dollars and accomplishing very little. the renewed terms of new NAFTA are nearly identical to the prior. And not bad. I do enjoy the return of many manufacturigng jobs to the US in the past decade but don't think trumps policy earns any of them, plants being planned for 5 years coming online during his presidency are not his doing, it's if anythin the cheaper energy made possible by fracking that's driven the return of manufacturing and assosciated job growth.

Still - I think China had a number of issues that needed to be addressed. I think one of the biggest was IP infringement, and that's not been addressed. Instead we had again careless high impact destabilizing tarriffs that hurt some economies and helped others but above all were unpredictable, untargeted and poorly executed.

Re: According to Gallup,

3..nucular threat of china and iran..

I honestly do not believe we're in a better place regarding nuclear threat by having permitted iran and russia to withdraw from all of their prior commitments to denuclearization. Regarding China, that's already there... i dont see how that's changed except maybe aggravating them more... and North Korea just played trump like a fool, made big promises, backed out entirely

Iran is now more emboldened and having more support from his people that the US is an enemy, and that they need nuclearization to protect themselves from overreaching bullies. I see no way of even possibly arguing that trump has made the world anything but more dangerous from nuclear threats.

and 4) Terrorism? The terrorist attacks we've suffered during his presidency have been primarily far right and white nationalists emboldened by his very divisive talking points and the us vs hem type attitudes he fosters. I suspect you're referring to terrorism in the middle east? We instigated the biggest attacks on US bases in the middle east in years, I guess you consider that progress? Assasinating a high profile leader is a great way to make a martyr and reassure millions that the US is their enemy. No I dont see any sensible argument either that we're in any way safer from terrorism either.

Re: According to Gallup,

5) those 4 topics do not align with my priroities at all, and are purely driven by fear. To my original point a rational approach to definink risk and benefit of policy would very likely not emphasis to any of the list your choices of

myths of "thousands rushing the border", nuclear proliferation, or terrorism

he's well known to dismiss advisers. also he talked that shit for years. he made that decision based on radio pundits and conservative talking points, not based on any legitimate understanding of the scope of problems, causes and optimal solution having maximum impact. Nobody's shown that case for the wall, just bold prejudice claims about how criminals are poruring over the border and the only thing that could stop them is a big dumb wall.

The wall addresses a very acute problem in a very narrow sighted way with very limited chance of success. What is the specific problem you want solved. Is it thousands rushing the border? that's a very infrequent ofccurence, and a wall would certainly deter that, but putting those resources instead towards, whatever, like anything else is probably a greater good and impact. if instead your issue's with the few percentage of illegal immigrants taking advatage of the systems, i'd like to see ANY evidence that a border wall stops that, versus alternately opening pathways to legal imigration to better track document and help those in need and identify those taking advantage.

Or if it's drugs youre scared of, they dont come waltzing across the border and turn around at the wall., you wanna stop drug abuse address pharmaceutical companies pushing doctors to push their heroin. Which drug is scaring you so bad outta mexico? weed? cocaine?

you know you can just buy a flight to the US. or take a boat. or go through the mountains. the wall is dumb and ineffective. (edited)

Re: According to Gallup,

To satisfy your mind .i honestly don't think the wall is the solution but it is only one anybody has proposed ..it might slow it down ..as for treating them in humane abd about the children ...they were told up front not to comebthe border woukd be closed ..trump didn't send a limo for them...if they did come here and use the proper way to gain entrance in the work force i would havebno problem but i do haveva problem with them coming in illegally ,taking jobs and paying no taxes ..i do have a problem when they come hre illegally and get health ,housing, food and other government hand outs when you have people on fixed income having to pay out half or more of their check for medicare, supplement, and drug plans..you probably don't know much about all that just yet. .for example ...i pay $144 per month for medicare ,my supplement has gone up to $210..i am required thru obamas plan to have a drug plan that is just under $50 ..since i have to have certain drugs that are expensive the drug company pay very little on them ..for instance i haveva $155 co-pay on one .my wife has one that is $344 co pay..these are just 2 of the higher co pays..then if i were illegal and came here i could have all that for free plus my glasses or hearing aids,or teeth ..any of it is free to them..that is just part of what i don't think you understand ..stop the border crossing and take care of our own elderly and handycapped..my wife and myself are fortunate enough we can survive but there are so many that can't ..i hear about giving free education to illegals...they didn't give free educations to my kids .i sweated and payed for it..thats just the border issue ..what would your plans have been for the other problems that were in place ..

Bernie and as well as any president any politician, anybody or any law in this country cannot stop other countries from destroying the earth Way more than USA,

We/USA could be completely green and the rest of the world will be even worse !

F963E220-19F7-4278-A80E-4E51EE254057.jpeg

When you get your Green rare earth metals you get this too

917EB138-2DC4-41BA-B198-476FFE94D8D7.jpeg

I mean I could go on and on and on most of the plastic in the ocean comes from these crazy countries too so we could ban straws, plastic everything but these other over populated countries won’t,

Around 2004 China was 6th gross national product but since the globalist used them to manufacture everything for cheap they did so with no regulation, polluting the earth more than the USA and now their economy is 2nd because they have no regulations, occupational safety, human rights, building codes no nothing!

They, India, Russia all kinds of countries just dump freely and more then 80% ground water in China is contaminated if not more There’s almost nothing in China India and other cheap manufacturing countries that is not contaminated

8578CC0F-EACA-4722-AA87-3A3190EFCAE9.jpeg

If we do everything with regulations and everything everybody in the world needs to do things with the same regulations but they won’t and the only people who will get rich are the rich top people who owns 90% of all media and push this crap so they could continue taking advantage of these countries making all the so-called green stuff.

Yes we’re going to need green renewable energy (which it really isn’t because it doesn’t come from thin air it comes from some resource from the earth, It needs mining, processing, Recycling and energy to make)

And we will need almost every energy known to mankind too within the next 20 years if the population and everything else continues the way it is,

The countries produce the energy are the ones that are going to get rich and making the Poor and Third World countries rich is not gonna make the poor people living there rich its only going to make the top globalist rich and the poor people have early cancer deaths

Willd, well said on all points, but at the end of the day, without common sense and logical reasoning, they’ll still continue to ignore the facts. Some people are just stupid.

Re: According to Gallup,

Lol...i really am trying to make out your point on some of this but really i get about as much out of your rambling as i would a drunken lawyer trying to say charles manson was sane lol ...in reality i do give you the right to your beliefs and opinion but i have my own .thats what makes the world go around ..

Re: According to Gallup,

I guess nobody has heard china decided to play ball rather than keep going and some are seeing where they will gain from the tarriffs being imposed and others are soon to follow .i saw on the news a farmer here was all upset and really downing trump about going to bankrupt him but came back and said he will probably have the best profit margin next year than he has had in several years ..

I look over petty crap like that ...they won't bother me with it ..i just see how they want to appear educated in the matters but csn"t bring it out to understand what they are saying so they resort to that..they want to say trump caused the deficeit but can't comprehend he inherited it and part of it growing is partly because of deals made by past presidents..i suppose they haven't seen also that he has plans to cut out some of the money going to other countries ..what the probably might not knownis the president makes a recomendation for the budget but congress is the one that sets it ... I’ve tried to give the old fart that shit himself and dumb Ohio a chance and listen to their “opinions”, but I just can’t get my head that far up my ass.

Re: According to Gallup,

Lol. They don't know enough about the real problem with iran or north korea to know they don't know anything about negotiating or talks until you get their attention ..going and hiding under the bed and showing weakness does nothing ..will only escalate until there is a war...you either show your strength or got pissed on ...thats all they understand ..once they understand they are teady to talk ...iran wanted to be tough said they were not into talking anymore until tge boots started hitting the ground then they were open to talks..north korea was the same way..showing cowardness gets you in more trouble than standing up and showing you're ready if thats what they want...another thing trump did that dems tried to block was social security got a 16% raise ..first raise in a while and it actually helped people..i think there was one or maybe two with obama at maybe 2 % but that actually cost a lot of people because their medicare went up.more tgan the raise on their check..they talk about trump and big corporation but forget about obama bailing out the auto industries while giving millions in bonuses to there ceo's...trump got elected and is not perfect by any means but blind to the fact and not likeing him doesn't change what he has fought to get changed and done.
