I have bar end mirrors that fold in so makes the bike much easier to store.

They look awesome. Besides thinking that I would be hitting them on stuff, I didnt want to cut onto cut up the minty stock grips. I ended up buying a set of chrome round mirrors that screw into the controls just like the stock ones but these reach out a little wider so I can see better.

Re: Honda Rebel

skip vermont registration

your son can "abandon" his motorpickle at you house and use the abandoned vehicle process. ive used it many times :)

Already sent paperwork to VT.

Re: Honda Rebel

I've wanted a honda rebel for a long time, I might be too big for one. I like that red cafe build, did the rear hafta be lifted for the stance?

If you mean my CM185, the tank was raised from the back.

Re: Honda Rebel

Great bike Larry

I have a 97 in pearl shining yellow.

Very easy bike to maintain, hell with your frenchy experience it will be a piece of cake. Probably only thing you'll need to do is clean the carb.

Lot of great info on hondarebelforum.com

Thanks Ernie!

My son’s Rebel is all ready to go for riding season. She runs like a champ. The worst part of working on this bike was getting the carb off the intake. What a nightmare getting it out! Other than that, I changed the oil, replaced the tires, and lubed the chain. Now I’m just waiting to get my new registration from VT, and then I’ll give it to my son.

Got my VT plate today. She’s legal now. Woohoo! Now I just have to trailer it to VA.

You think pling that carb is a pain. You should pull the four carbs on this 900, haha. What a nightmare. Gotta rip half the bike apart to get them out.

Re: Honda Rebel

yea i've got a maxim 650 that the carbs are off, it's been a huge nightmare. It was actually a fine running bike, except the intake boots were cracked enough you noticed if you snapped open the throttle. thought, easy i can replace those - well last bolt (always) snapped and took out a chunk of the mount area. in hindsight i shouldve just glued it back on with epoxy or something but i wound up replacing the whole head. took me months to get everything (the head wsa $80, the head gasket was $180!) and juuuust when i was finishing up installing the new boots on the new head, this pandemic crashes down and I havent been goin to the shop at all.
