I don’t think gas and diesel will ever stop being produced, but there haven’t been as many innovative ideas with the production and refinement of the end products. Ex. ethanol and plant based diesel are so much better with emissions, it could be a great way for us to be a whole lot less dependent on foreign countries and not destroy the planet(as quickly). There just isn’t an incentive for these companies to make investments in these new technologies as it would substantially take away from their net profits.
Ev are becoming more robst and efficient every year. Hell a dude just flew around the world non stop in a solar powered airplane. Granted it had the wingspan of a jumbo jet, weighed as much as an economy car and has the power of a scooter, but still, the Wright brothers flew a canvas shit box not even a hundred yards and people were like, “stupid idiots, men aren’t supposed to fly”.
Anyways, I have hope for the future of alternative fuels and such. Once I.c. Cars are phased out and they move to hydrogen cell hybrids and ev I think the world will be a whole lot better off than this world stuck in an endless war for oil.
I love the fox so much, it’s my second one. The first was a 1993 2 dr sedan, it had digifant and was a much better runner. I drove that thing into the ground, across the country twice with 2 mopeds tied to some Thule bars and one in the back seat. I’ve had the wagon for a few years and barely clocked 3k on it. It’s been a lot more of a project than I thought it would be. I finally got it together and now I gotta tear back into it and replace the hydraulic lifters. I’m gonna swap out the cams while I’m in there and try to get some more hp out of it. Butt dyno says I’m ~100 right now.
