Although I'm not a veteran, I have seen many graphic photos of dead bodies from the Vietnam War thanks to Larry Flint. At the tinder age of 14, I stumbled across a Hustler Magazine thrown out by one of the local frat houses. Inside that issue was an article called; War-the real obscenity. It contained photos of bloated, decapitated and otherwise mutilated bodies from both sides of the war. The one that I will never be able to erase from my mind showed a mans head blown open with the scalp still holding pieces of broken skull bone revealing the empty cavity within. You could only imagine the smell, stench, pain and suffering from those photos. That original article with pictures was published in the January 1977 issue and re released in The Best of Hustler #3. The article was published to refute the fact that these obscene photos of war could be mailed anywhere by the U.S. Postal Service yet Hustler Magazine was under fire for obscenity charges for depicting the nude female anatomy.
