I don’t doubt what you’re saying Ken, it’s just that you’re talking about average folks who barely own a home, much less a real retirement fund. The generation that created the world the boomers grew up in (and the world that allowed them to prosper) valued the socialism and collective bargaining that boomers omitted from the world they’re leaving to the rest of us. Instead they voted towards unfettered capitalism rather than maintaining and expanding institutions like social security.
Those average folks/their kids/their grandkids are poor because if they weren’t capitalism wouldn’t work. It’s by design.
