Don't keep it to your self post that badboy.
I'll ask her this eve
The secret is the cheese. New York (really Staten Island) cheesecake uses cream cheese. This makes it sweet and creamy, and objectively the best kind of cheesecake. Italian cheesecake uses ricotta, and is hardly classifiable as cheesecake. It can be identified by its crumbliness, slightly bitter taste, and the fact that after making it you will feel an overwhelming since of guilt for tainting the cheesecake name.
What's different aboot it?
It does look awesome but I just had to laugh a bit when I saw the pic of all the ingredients laid out and I was reminded of a parent I know who has a kid who will only eat "white food" and it just made me think of that. Couldn't help it, sorry, I'm sure it's delicious. I'm a key lime pie guy myself but to each their own.
For me driving in Brooklyn and stopping at Junior's for a NY style cheesecake is easier than making it. Probably some of the NYC guys on here have heard of it. Doesn't get any more "NY Style" than downtown Brooklyn.
I don't know why but cheesecakes always disgusted me now put in a recipe for a good cheesesteak...
Sugar cream pie is were its at
Pumpkin pie, Cheesecake and Chocolate pie. I'm type 2 but a little bit now and then is ok.

Should be called Philadelphia cheesecake^^... since its made with Philadelphia cream cheese.
On tour with the Grateful Dead for 8 years that's why I don't like cream cheese and I hardly ever eat a bagel anymore
Philly Cream Cheese is just a brand
You gotta make it with whipped cream cheese like Temp Tee, which is "uniquely" new york (whatever tf that means)

Um, whip it with a mixer yourself!
Or keep buying air.
