anyone use a keurig coffee maker?

Brad William /

There's one at work that everyone donates coffee to so I've tried most brands.

The Walmart regular house blend is the cheapest, and surprisingly, one of the best.

you know the guy that invented the Keurig wishes he never did because the environmental impact from all those little plastic things...

A Cuban coffee pot is the way to go because it's like a little expresso machine that you can bring with you and put on a campfire if you have to or you could just strap it on to the head of your moped and you could make coffee with on the way to work...

Studies shown that Filters make coffee healthier including removing terpenes, which are oils in coffee that have been found to increase both total blood cholesterol and LDL ("bad") cholesterol, boiled coffee is basically liquid cholesterol But is better than nothing, if you got a pot boiling on a campfire while camping outdoors I would still drink it.

For me fine ground filter drip coffee with filter taste better (I like #3 type blend Seattle’s best for me for @only 4$ something a bag @ Wally Mart) #4 and 5# are more expensive and taste just burnt, there’s no more caffeine that you would think would be in the more stronger tasting 4 and 5# dark roast coffee’s

I use the Pete's French Roast, It's good with little acid also if you have a safeway around you they have store brand French Roast that's not too bad and is a great price.

My cholesterol number is 70 I even drink milk coffee or rather La Leche where it's half and half and expresso and what kind of paper filter are you using they bleach the things others have contamination from processing you don't know what the heck you're drinking I just grind up beans and put them right in the pot...

Or I get these bricks of Colombian coffee from Colombia it's their brand it's like number one brand in Columbia and it's like 250 a brick across the street from me. The grounds usually stay in the bottom of the carafe before you pour it it has a 2 section in the expresso ends up on the top and you poured off and the settlement usually stays in the carafe all right I think I'm dealing with a teetotaler...

Keep your rosy hips and orange poke y out of this keep your teabagging to yourself boy...

I heard that “cold brew” coffee was the way to go, because there were less oils produced in the brewing process, resulting in a smoother taste.

I tried “cold brew” but apparently I like the oils in my coffee.

I use whole bean coffee ground fresh, filtered water, a few shakes of salt

(for smoothness) and a full stainless percolator.

BTW, I understand that generally, lighter roasted beans contain higher levels of caffine.

Re: anyone use a keurig coffee maker?

I like those little stove top cafetières that everyone is calling Cuban. Makes goodly coffee indeed.

BEST is to buy your own beans (Costco has very high turnover so their whole beans are very fresh if you re not direct importing them) and mill them in your own 'grinder' like this wicked Peugeot Moulin one...

peugeotmoulin.jpg

Even more 'continental', you can now get a fancy ass "presse-moulin" from Peugeot to incorporate the grind and press...

Re: anyone use a keurig coffee maker?

I like Folger's Black Silk or Columbian for rich taste. There used to be good French Roast to be had, but it's went downhill in most brands.

I use a regular drip Mr. Coffee and most importantly for taste, FILTERED WATER with no chlorine or contaminants.

Because it started dirty

Re: anyone use a keurig coffee maker?

I primarily drink filter coffee (Douwe Egberts preferably) but i also like the fancy fresh ground stuff at work.

Too bad my energy drink habit (8 to 12 cans a day for a few years) made me hypersensitive to caffeine so i cant drink more than 2 cups a day before shit goes pearshape.

Selles Rojo...

Re: anyone use a keurig coffee maker?

I’ve been having Costco coffee with Mississippi water for years. I’ll throw it in the microwave for a minute and half if it gets cold. Mr. Coffee hunka shit turns off after 2 hours.

Re: anyone use a keurig coffee maker?

My Mr. Coffee stays on until you turn it off.

Mine will stay on the electric stove until the filament Burns Out and if you ever seen one go it's sort of like an arc welder hey and it doesn't even affect the circuit protectors and it won't even blow a fuse so as a side note don't be anywhere near one when it fails

Re: anyone use a keurig coffee maker?

Don exclusively drinks filtered watered coffee and Fox News koolaid.

Re: anyone use a keurig coffee maker?

I use reusable k-cup filters and bag coffee beans I grind fine. They make a nice strong dark cup and no eco-trash.

Reusable k-cups

Best coffee- Kopi Luwak

Re: anyone use a keurig coffee maker?

If you like cold brew and are near cleveland, check out Guardian! It's our buddy LT who is a local moped dude, black pipe and quad shop member

It's good stuff, pricey but no more than a Starbucks latte, and it comes in basically a beer bottle so it gets hilarious looks chugging it otw to work in the morning.available at a buncha stores and restaurants,

most Cuyahoga county Heinens carry them too.

This coffee is shit.

Re: anyone use a keurig coffee maker?

Brad William /

Aw fuck.. I'm chewing the beans from now on for the flavor and jolt.

Chlorine and other contaminants? Fluoride? Nitrogen, bleach, salts, pesticides, lead, mercury, toxins produced by bacteria, and human or animal drugs. Bacteria, viruses, protozoan, and parasites. Holy shit.

But it's worse than I thought. How the fuck did I just learn about this? Where have I been?
