“Did nothing for Baltimore”, What the fuck have you done for Baltimore.

Not saying it’s cool to launder money, but it’s really not a scandal imo. They should just restrict people from running non profits and charities if they get caught up in shady dealings. Also churches/religious organizations should not generate exorbitant wealth that is untaxed, but that’s another thing altogether.

Considering his track record and how he dedicated his life to fighting for people who can’t stand up for themselves, I would call him a good politician.

If Cummings was president, commited about a hundred crimes and violated the constitution than we would talk about him the same way.

68 is young for an old guy, a bunch of them fuckers are in their 80’s. Dude didn’t have far to travel back and forth to work, that’d be alright.

1.) Youre also not a resident of Baltimore, it's not even your district. However the blame should be directed at the Mayor and local district politicians, not a State Representative.

I looked into this "scandal" and can only seem to find references on it from the very rightwing news-o-sphere. I'll keep looking but it all seems like typical right wing talking points that's either blown a fairly mundane thing out of proportion or if there is malfeasance in this case, that whatever the issue was originally it will be beaten into the ground with all sorts of conspiratorial crap added that the truth will never be known.

im in baltimore enough to be a resident. every night of the week at the gf's place 4-5pm- 6am the next morning and spend a lot of weekends there during the day. taking her dog on walks and talking to the other (actual) locals, they arent to displeased

this goes to show how little you all know about baltimore. there really isnt a mayor at the moment... the last one, Pugh, WAS in a huge scandal and stole a lot of money. she stepped down and everyone is just like oh it's gucci now that she stepped down - just more baltimore corruption. i think we're up to an average of 7 murders a night now

no one has heard from her in a few months. it was a weird coinsidence that when her scandal broke, she fell "ill" and couldnt leave her house

Oh ok so you basically confirmed what We have said. Local politics matter so much. Yea Baltimore is fucked, no one is arguing that. But a single representative in the congress of the United States cannot fix a systemic corruption of city politics without support from the local governing parties.

All politicians lie, the orange one just does not care if anyone knows it. The truly frightening part of that is so few here seem to really care what is real or true, I mean the meat puppet got elected, clearly people in this country have quit expecting actual work form elected officials, we just want to be entertained, well, love him or hate him, he is entertaining...we are circling the drain as a society. There is an old Chinese curse, "may you live in interesting times" It has hit the US square in the face. Life is not "easy" it is about hard work, not constant entertainment.
