I want to do some exercising but.....

I hate bicycle seats, and hate pedaling my moped. I thought this might be the best compromise. The comfort of a moped with lighter weight and improved crank location plus gears.

I had to get the bracket fabbed, I like that it can be removed easily and the bike brought back to stock. Plus it's a puch/sears free spirit bicycle, so it's not even a bastardization.

I might stick a bike bug motor on it one day just for fun, idk. I still have to get it going without a motor first, it's like a side-side-project of mine.

I thought you guys might find it interesting.

In all fairness, it's a crap-tastic '70's Sears Free Spirit (probably built by Huffy), so it's not like it has any value over and above being your bike.

If you like the way it's set up, that's what matters.(edited)

It's an Austrian one so it's decent quality.

It came with another one that was made in China that I gave away.

No problem, hopefully it will turn out to be a decent bike that I can actually use.

I hate the ball busting design of pretty much every bicycle seat, even cruiser seats... but I like my moped seat ..

So since I couldn't find anything I wanted I had to have this one made.

I talked to some bicycle people about it and they acted as if it were some abomination to do this.

They hated the added weight of the seat and claimed it wouldn't be easy to pedal...idk, I'll see I guess. And if this doesn't work I'll have to consider a recumbent maybe.

Re: My custom Bicycle

I would be more concerned with your handlebar situation than the seating.

I think I must be going insane because I bought another step through a 19 55 girl's Schwinn it's the balls I couldn't help it it was $30 I could have just paid that for the two new tires on it but I love the Vintage Schwinn seat and the front and back racks are awesome it even has a place for a headlight but the real Sin is I have Fab plates to put either a Tomas or a Puch engine on it I should have my brain examined again...

I sold it to an old man for $35 you are a haggled with me in Spanish and that last $5 was so hard to get but the smile on his face is worth it

Re: My custom Bicycle

I just recently gave my roommate a Motron long seat for her bike, fit perfectly into the existing tube. She loves it, very comfy and she can rest her backpack on the end of the seat to get it off the shoulders.
