I remember seeing those battery powered contraptions used on hotwheels tracks that basically just had a motor and a roller. Well could a moped tire be used if done carefully? My concern is that the car would go too fast and cause trouble. But maybe if the track were long enough it wouldn't be a concern??
I would attempt this and post results but I down own a hotwheel track or cars anymore.

I mean, yes. but youd have a hard time with it, and you'd also have to have a rippin' moped wheel on a fixed moped stuck in your play room with exhaust blasting you in the face while your die cast twin engine shark car whips around a criss cross crash course
a rubber clutch bolted to tha flywheel, or like a roller coaster with the chain.
now as with that coaster at Disneyland, a proper spark arrested modified.

They were called super chargers. They had foam on each side, so the moped over the track would only be propelling the car on the top and not the sides as intended. You would do best to take off the hard tire and just run the bike with an inner tube inflated to low pressure, or the only cars you could run would all have to be the same height.
This thread is near and dear to my heart, as I still have all my Hot Wheels cars from 1968 AND my first moped from 1979.
Now if I could just do this and incorporate my Beatles' collection and my rotary telephone collection into the mix...
Mopeds are better used to propel merry-go-rounds.

Rotary phones! Now we're talking! I was surprised that my magic jack put out enough voltage to ring my old wall mount bell when I ditched quest. Had to get a pulse to tone convertor tho..
still works great, plugged the magic jack into my wall socket and the whole house was converted from copper no problem.
