You really do just eat up whatever shit they serve you on fox news... what you are looking for is called a life cycle analysis- an engineering assessment of the total impact a product or process has over its life cycle including production (raw resources, infrastructure, etc), use , maintenance and eventual dissolution. Yes, obviously wind, solar and nuclear all require energy, resources and machinery to construct - but do you think natural gas and coal infrastructure just what, pop into existence out of thin air?
Granted, environmental impact is a multifaceted problem and many of these analyses have to rely on quantifiable data like CO2 emissions as opposed to other impacts like you know, removing entire sections of a mountain, destabilizing large areas underground or dumping thousands of gallons of crude into an ecosystem, but no matter which way you slice it fossil fuel have impacts that are orders of magnitude higher than cleaner energy sources. Plus solar/ wind/etc and how they can interface with our power grids are comparatively new technologies with lots of room for improving efficiency and reducing impact- not to mention a much higher potential for sustainable job creation (jobs that wont knock 15-20 years from your life expectancy)
The climate is being destroyed before our very eyes- it's a scientific fact- and all you can think to do is whine about politicians who are actually trying to do something to revert it. Stop watching fox and go get an informed opinion.
