I just got a jawa (1987) 2-speed as a project bike (am learning more about maintaining and the mechanics of mopeds and wanted something cheaper than my tomos to practice on!) - the thing runs, but the shifting is hesitant (requires playing with the throttle to get it going.

This thing (according to the shop manual which I have with it) has a flywheel dry clutch - just wondering if anyone had some general hints about the first/best things to try to get the shifting working a bit better before I start tearing things apart? Even some general pointers from the more experienced mechanically would be handy :)

(am more used to tearing apart computers into bits than mopeds, but am getting there! :)
