I'll be receiving two of these. Batavus engine. I want to so some mild modding to get one to go @ 40. I love the look of this bike!
thats one of the rarest bats
ask chad burke.
Ive seen one in real life. I bought a maxi off a guy & he had that. Fuckin grand.
chad burke doesnt know anything about mopeds
It looks tiny.
how small are those things?
If by rare you mean weird looking.....very
isnt that the moped OJ fled on?
I freaking love the handlebars
Well I have seen several of them around WI.
If they had anything but a batavus engine on them I would like them.
I mean they are unique looking and all, but a bat is a bat and bats are slow.
Unless the bat happens to actually be a peugeot. Now thats a bat.
It's a girly ped on a typical street in the Netherlands, nof said
you should pee in the gas tank 2 increase teh value
i like how the seat "caresses" your ass...
I'm sure that the ones I'm receiving are the American version with round headlights (Euopean model pictured). I love the handlebars as well. I heard a roomer that you may be able to install a Hobbit kit on the engine with minimal effort.
Medium Rare
The Hobbit kit is actually quite the job. Not for the rookie
i like bats
but
that bat is ugly
If I were going to buy another Bat, it would be a Bronco or a Mobat...nothing else.
Bats with the Laura 48 are slow, but with a little coaxing can be made plenty fast. They just don't make bolt up stuff for it, so you have to get creative. It is not for the lazy or the novice, but it definitely can be done. The head needs to be milled a millimeter so it has nice compression, and the encarvi has to go, replace it with a Dellorto 15. Remove half of the ball bearings inside the clutch spring, and replace tem with same diameter plastic tubing as spacers. Throw a slip on biturbo on the fat header (if you have the skinny header replace it with the Bat 30mph version) and you have a 40mph Bronco.
Anyway the Bronco is the rarest of the Bats in the USA, and I don't care what they think of them in Batavia (The Netherlands), I would proudly own one (and soup it up so the naysayers eat crow)
It's Medium Rare with garlic and rosemary.
I'll post some pics by the end of the week. I think I have bat fever!
