weres moped maner?
in k-zoo
Were in kzoo like street addrese
Um, we aren't just going to give you the address of our friends. That's a bit presumptuous, don't ya think? I mean, people do live there.
Hey Carrie, I'll tell YOU where I live if you want to visit...just kiddin. Say, how far is k-zoo from North Carolina anyways? I gotta get outta here for a bit sometime this summer....and if I do, I'd like some travel companions. Not many here, i finally saw one other decent moped in town the other day (the two drunk psycho locals don't count; even tho that one dude is a mechanical whiz and I have as yet to race him)...

He's from michigan, so i dont know if he wants to attack moped manar or talk to you guys about mopeds.

You got it.Im 15 i cant hurt you.plus i already got an e mail from miguel I NO WERE YOU LIVE.ANY way im a ped head i live in charlotte i got an elite and im trying to start a scooter army. THE SCOOTER LADS scoot/ped then destroy mike.
actually, you don't know where i live ... the address on my email is not my home. sorry. and i'm sure you couldn't hurt us. but we're still curious as to why you need to know the address of moped manor? and asking us in the forum is rather odd, since the address would then be available to all psycho flamers and such. as carrie said ... people do live there. and they are our friends.
I under stand.well then id like to no when theBBQ is?
the moped army bbq is on memorial day. email simon or dan if you have any specific questions, since they're in charge of it. there will be lots of people. and we're estimating at least 30 mopeds racing (we expect many people not to race for a variety of reasons). if you have a moped ... and are willing to try a rally race around kzoo, come on down!
Hmm, I need to figure a way to get there...i'd like to race. The only losers are the ones to chicken to get in it. I spose it's pretty flat there? So, I'd need to put my big sprocket back on for that one. Plus, what kinda rules ya got about exhausts / carbs / bore kits, etc? Or is it all pretty much for the fun of it? That's the most fun to me since the guy with the most $$$ is gonna win anyways.

the race is a cross-town rally race. some dont' race for two important reasons: (1) they might not have competitive speeds and/or (2) they don't want to crash.
since the race is a cross-town rally race, you have to content w/ traffic (and the police) as well as the terrain. it's also not all flat, since part of the race deliberately forces participants to go up a long slope (about 30 degree?).
there are no "rules", other than common safety and decency. but you cannot race anything greater than 50cc and no scooters. only mopeds. you can do anything else you want. some of us have performance carbs and exhausts, larger front sprockets, etc. but keep in mind that gains in top speed might mean loss in acceleration. there is a debate over whether the race is won by top speed or acceleration. we are dealing w/ lots of stop lights, after all (although some people just go through them).
the address is on the front page of the site, along w/ a link to mapquest.com directions. we'll have maps of the race course and you should familiarize yourself w/ it before the race. it's a three point race. you have to go to point A (Flipside Records) and point B (East Hall) and back to Moped Manor. You can do A and B in any order. so strategy is also important.
as the number of participants has increased over time, so have misshaps. there have been crashes (nothing major), tickets issues, and mopeds breaking down. so it's all pretty exciting. crowds and media are known to show up.
oh, yeah, i forgot another rule in the "no rules" moped race. you can't have a manual transmission on the bike, even if it has 50cc. so any moped under 50cc (no scooters) are welcome to the race.
