What's a stock jet for a puch?

---------------- LaZer ------------* /

Just got a maxi sport and when I took apart the bing, I discovered that someone ribbed the main jet out of it! Wondering what ihe stock jet size is? Will a square bing jet work cause I think I have a Sachs carb somewhere.

Re: What's a stock jet for a puch?

it should be in the low 60's for a 2hp and upper 50's for a 1.5hp

Re: What's a stock jet for a puch?

different size slightly then the square bing, but i have gotten them to work on occasion.

you are probably needing somewhere in the 50's range, but i had a pinto that had a 70 in it when i got it so......buy a bunch. technically your ped should run until wide open throttle with no main jet, as long as it has the proper needle setting. so you should be able to ride just no going full throttle.

Re: What's a stock jet for a puch?

part way down the page is some data here

Re: What's a stock jet for a puch?

I COULD BE TOTALLY WRONG BUT THESE WERE THE EXACT NUMBERS ON STOCK PINTO'S

1.5=

1/12 INTAKE

72 MAIN JET

2.20 NEEDLE JET

NEEDLE 2ND NOTCH FROM TOP

2.0=

1/14 INTAKE

72 MAIN JET

2.17 NEEDLE JET

ALSO 2ND NOTCH FROM TOP

BUT NOW THAT I THINK ABOUT IT I RECALL A MAXI I HAD WITH A STOCK 64 FOR THE MAXI LUXE.....PROLLY 50'S FOR THE 1.5.HIGH 50'S

Yeah, it's got the 1.5HP engine. I'm ordering a 58 and a 60 from treats along with a petcock (also stolen). The bike is also missing an air filter assy and foot rests? Seems like some sort of covers were originally on the sides.

My stock 2 hp has a 64 and it seems just right. Well everything stock except an unstuffed dmp crank.

it all depends on your carb #. Their are several bings all with different jets. here is a site where you can look up your bing carb
