The bottom end is definitely a Morini Franco. However teh toop end doesn't look like any Morini I have seen. Please help...
Zac
top end not toop lol
wild intake
The in take makes it look fast huh?!
well, the brand of the bike ends in M but i dont see any matches on here
almost looks like it says something about australia perhaps
and the sidecover things almost look Pacer-esque, might be a similar top tank.
that intake is crazy.
Its an Itom brand btw
that bottom end could be Minarelli also
ive seen both sides, the bottom end is most definitely morini. the ignition side cover on the left is morini
when i saw that "m" Itom was the first brand that came to mind (been reading lots of 50cc racing stuff lately...itom comes up quite a bit). do you OWN this bike? can we see the whole picture? if youre already sure the engine is a morini then this isnt really an engine question is it? can we get some shots of the cylinder by itself?
thats the best pic i have. the bottom end is exactly like my MO1's its the top end that s different
so..."itom" is like a morini piston port clone?
Any aftermarket clutches or anything available?
itom is no clone, it's a brand of mopeds..For the above moped my guess would be Demm. An italian brand which would explain the 'alia' bit on the pic...Demm smileys have that same sort of top end with the carb sticking forward
that intake is bad ass
looks like an MO2 with an aftermarket top end
The clutch cable on the MO2 goes into the case. M1 and MO1 both have the external lever for the clutch. And this is an ITOM it says it all over the bike.
You need to post some pics of that in the gallery. There are none like it under ITOM in the brand list.
itom is just a brand name they didnt make the engine
that would be like saying sears made the allstate
i just seen another engine like that and I beleive its a Verona. very rare.
I meant Verona jug on a Morini bottom which means your Itom is a 73-75
Sears just rebadged for the Allstate. Itom had a licensing agreement to use Morini engines - same with Demm and even Motobecanes along with other mid 1970s to mid 1980s mopeds.
Would be nice to see the whole bike and not one part at a time like a jigsaw puzzle.
Itom went under in 75 but that jug was still used in 76 by Intramotor Glorias on the Blancos. theres a IG blanco for sale on CL with that verona jug.
