A special kudo to donp for this connection. I concur with his assessment completely: How difficult is it to answer the guy's question whatever kind of bike? Not much more or less work than reiterating that a "Spree is not a moped." Okay, fine. We now know for the nth time. Ironically, as a multi-Puch owner, I have also owned multiple Hondas and, though I am not that rabid a fan of the Sprees, I just picked one up yesterday for almost nothing, mostly because the kids (and I DO mean the kids here) LOVE those bikes because they weigh 92lbs, there are aftermarket parts galore available so they can make them fly! A used 20 year old Spree can go for $300-400 without any aftermarket parts. I once saw a stripped down bike with an aftermarket cylinder and 28mm carb that could do full wheelies (no pulling up on handlebars) from a dead stop. They used it on weekends to mountain bike up hills. I'm not endorsing, merely relating. So let the guys have their fun with whatever bikes they have. Personally, I am glad that donp provided that "Honda Spree/Elite 50 Forum" location. It will help me as well.
By the way, I don't believe that a Honda Urban Express is a "moped" either, but I see the manual listed in mopedriders.org and see questions answered regularly in this site, so doesn't that suggest some elitist duplicity?
