I need to know because I'm looking to get and aftermarket carb with a manual choke on it, and I want the original airbox to fit on it.

I don't know if the pic will show up, but will something like this fit it? I don't want to buy the expensive things.

Basicly the stock size for the airbox is 1 inch inside diameter on the rubber collar and the carb itself is 1 inch outside diameter, so look for a carb with that measurement.
Thanks!

Adam_1295,
Did that carb work for you back in August 2010? I'm looking for a carb for my 81 NC50 as well and didn't know what or if i could go with something like this too.
Thanks
Larry
Adam,
Do a research on older posts.
This problem has been solved way back in Sept 2011.
'' ...As for the intake, the following intake adapter, coupled with a Mikuni Vm16 will fit without any major modifications. (a bit of shimming here and there)
You can also keep your stock air filter box.

A big improvement over the original carb.
Just started back on Moped Army today. I never got that carb, Larry Parrish. I might try that or just get an older Express carb w/ a manual choke. I'll try to find the cheapest way and if I can get it to work I'll let you know.

I bought that cheap carb and made a short adapter to bolt it to the stock nc50 intake like others have done or you can get the $60 dollar intake at treats for a Mikuni VM20 and make that work with the cheaper carb. Not a bad carb for under 30 bucks
