Nope it will all still work, just make sure you have a voltage rectifier (stock on tomos) that way you won't blow all your bulbs :)
The stock system works great but some have rev limiters so short answer NO long answe, you may want to look into a replacement for the CDI box itself (not the whole flywheel and stator they're fine)
sweet! thanks, because i'm pretty much broke and my engine is in shit shape already, im looking at about $300 for all the parts i need already, the last thing i needed was to add ignition to the list.
so basically what mars is saying, you wont get the maximum potential with a stock ignition because of the rev limiter but it will still work great within its limits, just to clear that up.
Though! you said you had 300$, so i think you might actually have enough for a kit and a za50cdi from treats. :)
problem is i need all new seals and bearings since the engine has like 8K+ miles on it, im also getting a new crankshaft so the $300 is the total for parts minus a couple things i still cant find.
youll be happy with stock igniton, most people are that throw a kit, i mean once you can afford it you could always get one later, you wont be missing out in the mean time. :)
