Just bought a puch 12 volt light coil from treats. Theres no documentation on what wires go where and i cant really use the wiring diagrams on the wiki cuse the wiring is all different now. There are three wires- green, yellow, and the two small gauge magnet wires that are connected together. Which ones are positive and which are ground?
i think yellow is 12v
and green is ground

No no, The bare wires are the ground screw them on the case with the coil.
The green and yellow are positives.... The difference is the amperage that each wire can give....
Mount your coil, with the ground connected to the case, try each wire with a light bulb at idle , or 2000rpm, and you'll see one is more power ful than the other.
Usually the weak one to the tail light ( and horn, acesories ) and the powerfull one goes to the headlight.
En resumé, green and yellow 12v one with more amperage than the other one
. bare one is ground.

What bunch of dummy's.
I am going to be installing mine sometime next week. I also have a regulator to go along with it. However, the regulator only has one wire going in and one coming out. Which should I put on the regulator - the headlight or tail light wire? Also, conceivably, couldn't I just run everything off a single one of those wires, or is that a horrible idea?
trail tech adjustable regulator will do 1 or 2 power leads. i just put 1 on my puch instructions show both wire diagrams.
