Boston ride?

Tri-ped Dave O.D.B. /

I haven't seen any Wednesday ride posted, and tomorrow is supposed to be nice and warm. If there is nothing already planned, how about meeting at Harvard Square (right by the Out of Town News) around 8-8:30 for a cruise North around Mystic Lakes?

FYI another Sonic is opening soon in Wilmington. Once the madness clears we should make that a destination. It is a lot safer and easier to access than the Rt. 1 location.

Re: Boston ride?

Dude you should eat at the sonic before you head out there man.

Picture a mcdonalds hamburger only kinda cold.

Where is the mystic lakes?

Re: Boston ride?

I'd go tomorrow if I didn't already have plans...

It's supposed to be 85 degrees tomorrow!

Re: Boston ride?

yeah the north east sonics aint anything like the ones in the south

around here they are expensive and disgusting

Re: Boston ride?

Re: Boston ride?

I don't belive that Sonic's are nasty in the NE. that's got to be a misnomer. I can't wait to try one.

Re: Boston ride?

Dude ill come and watch you eat. I mean, if you want to pay 6 bucks for a mcdonalds quarter pounder thats cold served to you by a 17 year old dude with a metal goatee smoking a butt by all means do. But i wanna be there and watch ya eat it and tell me its good.

Re: Boston ride?

yeah unlike down south theres no hot chicks here to serve you theres only guys

Re: Boston ride?

oh no! dude, the ones in the south are so good! and the girls on the rollerskates are awesome and hot.

Re: Boston ride?

yeah well sonic here is the opposite

its also wicked cheap down south too

Re: Boston ride?

honestly, the one on route one is like 2 miles from me. Its bogus. And yeah, 17 year old guy with spider web tatoo on arm, butt in mouth and half shorts not quite the drive in experience i was looking for. Plus if you had to ride from boston on route 1, you would have to pass fuddruckers, which despite being a big chain joint, has good burgers.

Re: Boston ride?

the fudd is awesome!

alas, wrong forum. we need to talk about the ride.

Spoke with Daniel this morning. He said the kHz were discussing plans for a ride, but had no specifics.

Dave, your route looks nice. i'll be bringing a newbie so a slow ride is preferable.

Re: Boston ride?

I can't make this one. I have class and my Batavus has a mystery problem.

Re: Boston ride?

i may try to meet up with this ride somewhere if i can, though i dont get out of class until 9

Re: Boston ride?

Sonic's drinks are good, south or north...I loved the fact that they have a dedicated motorcycle lane - I went opening month and bypassed the huge lines for a narrow spot all to myself :D

Re: Boston ride?

Sullivan & Sullivan,llp /

i'm out, gotta work @ 9

Re: Boston ride?

the drinks are good.

I also heard that they intentionally have better food for like the first 2 weeks.

I missed the first 2 weeks.

It is a given that Sonic will never become Zagat rated. My Sonic memories are all down South with the hot short skirt chicks on skates serving decent burgers. Too bad they don't get that up here.

There is a really good Roadside BBQ place on 3A on the Burlington/Billerica line that has cruise nights during the summer. That is probably a much better idea.

Anyway back to tomorrow. Let's not let the nice night slip by. I will look at the Harvard Square spot at 8:30. All speed mopeds welcome for a nice city/country ride. Well maybe not an 18mph Solex. There are some spots for blasting where we can meet at the end of the run for the slower bikes to catch up so everyone can have what they like, and no one gets separated or lost.

I will find out what night is cruise night with lots of classic and muscle cars to see

Re: Boston ride?

getting paid to fix every moped in my town except any of my own.

Beats not getting paid to fix every moped in town except any of your own!

Re: Boston ride?

Ugh im getting paid to fix everybody elses peds too.

The only reason i know fudruckers on route one has good burgers is they have classic car night once a week.

Picture this for a ride - in the future..

Classic car night at fudruckers , then mini golf under the big orange t-rex mini golf place.

Dont get any better then that.

Re: Boston ride?

And sorry dave i dont mean to step on your buzz, the first 2 or 3 weeks at the new sonic im sure will be killer! just dont hit the one up here thats been open a year and expect anythng good.

Re: Boston ride?

No worries..I know it will be a zoo. I had no intent of going near that place for a month at least.

Fudd is good burgers. I go to the one at Jordans in Reading. They also have the Richardson's ice cream same spot. Another good destination.

I really like the classic car night and mini golf though..then on to the Cabaret for a night cap?

Re: Boston ride?

haha that would be excellent.

Re: Boston ride?

Tri-ped Dave O.D.B. /

Just when you thought it doesn't get better....it does

Re: Boston ride?

Tri-ped Dave O.D.B. /

Jay..where is your class? Do you still have my phone number so you can find us easily? If you are close to Harvard Square maybe we can wait for you.

Re: Boston ride?

Dave, I've been to that BBQ place you speak of...while getting there is a real nice ride, their brisket is seriously lacking - It was so salty and not tender enough...so far the winner in the state would be Blue Ribbon by far but Arlington isn't the most accessible locale, police-wise.

Re: Boston ride?

Tri-ped Dave O.D.B. /

Didn't have the brisket there, but the ribs were spot on. Ribbon is good too, especially the brisket. I like the atmosphere at Lester's..more like a real roadside BBQ, especially on cruise night with ll the old cars.

Looks like it will still be in the 60s tonight even late.
