A35's are easy to learn hands on, after alot of swearing and some "whys that, shit wait ok yeah dammit" moments.
most A55's haven't had nearly as much time/abuse to need rebuilt or major tranny & engine damage say from leaky biturbos, also a55's have (as far as i've seen) the most case area for port matching. like a sickening amount stock, dont know if there's a kit you'd need to weld up the case for. i've only had one a55 so far but completely trouble free, reliable and easy to learn after learning a35's. i still run oil injection on the a55, has worked great so far.
in other words learn on a35s, tons of support and parts. once you know what you're doing get an a55.
