urban express carb hookups

i got an urban express from a guy recently and i don't think the carb is hooked up right because it barely runs.

can i get pics of where all the lines go in and does anyone know the stock needle settings

thanks

Re: urban express carb hookups

dude yo. urban expresses are sweet, so wierd lookin. not technically a moped tho, so you'll probably be called a fuckface by someone. also theres a special forum called "repair" that would probably fit your q better.

ecplain how you mean by barely runs. Theres a bunch of stuff into and out of that carb - check the manual here;

the only ones that matter are the 2 autochoke ones and the gas line. I'd plug up the oil line and run premix, at least to check if the oil pump is working.

theres a bunch of other things too, but i'd def recommend a 17321 belt

Re: urban express carb hookups

hmm, your link didn't work. i used to race two stroke dirtbikes but this engine is something completely differnt. if you could provide a pic of where the two auto choke likes are, that would be great.

what i mean by, doesn't run good is that it bogs pretty bad (to rich) and it doesn't start good. i'm using brand new amsoil but i'm probably just going to change the spark plug anyway. it starts and runs great on carb cleaner so i'm pretty sure it is the fuel delivery system that is failing. will take aprt the carb and clean the internals also because the float is sticking.

Re: urban express carb hookups

into the battery box? thats where i have fuel coming in from. where does fuel go in on yours?

Re: urban express carb hookups

needle clip, 2nd from top is standard.

see manual here, http://www.mopedriders.org/html/manuals/honda/uexpress/huexpresssm.htm

for fuel, see top pic, its the line under the throttle cable that is going to the top left of the pic, towards front of bike.
