this mint 79 Sachs G3...
this thread is now about bikes we ALL regret selling.
my Puch M125 definitely tops the list for me. if i could have any bike back it'd be that one.:
i cant take sachs seriously. sorry. clean peds though. that g3 would have been amazing with an e50 on it though
Agh! Your killin me Larry!
Damn, those are clean. I've sold some bikes I don't regret per say, but I'd like to have them again. Money is what it is sometimes.
wow they look (M) mint or (NM) near mint!
I miss my MB-5! :(
im sorry im such a packrat and cant sell anything. i would be so much happier with fewer bikes, but i cant sell them. it sucks.
I agree with Ben, but I've sold and traded bikes and I regret it. I wish I still had my hardtail Moby. It was in great shape. I also miss my FA50. FA50s have always been solid peds for me, even though they dont have pedals. Never had one that wasn't a die-hard and I've had three. I dont know why I keep selling and trading them.
What about bikes that you regret painting? I painted my nostalgia before I knew anything about mopeds or what a nostalgia was. Not the rarest bike in the world, and it wasn't in the best condition, but I still really wish I hadn't. At least the wheels are still in great shape.
less than 500 miles
limited edition
so fucking clean.
lost my job and had to pay rent.
still bummed over this one.
I was wondering what happened to the General... Did it at least go to a good home?
yes it went to a cool kid named calvin up in detroit. he is restoring it even more, its his first moped. hopefully he comes to some rallies this summer. i\'ll buy him a beer.
I agree with Ben also. I can't seem to sell any of the bikes that I put any love into.
ben has a TON of bikes, pretty epic collection. a lot of rare stuff that i can see not wanting to part with. it's ok ben, you can just keep giving me the random shit that's taking up space!
i sold a shitty sachs once and regretted it. it was actually a ratty beater but i had that sentimental attachment to it, ya know? well about a year or so later the kid left it outside in the rain for a while, wouldnt start right up for him so he just left it. finally he decided he didnt want it anymore and i bought it back! for much less than i sold it to him for! yea! so now we are reunited and i am pleased.
you should make that into a movie, with the Sachs being played by julia roberts.
I'd give my left hand for that General. I'd need the right for the throttle.
ugh, yeah. i was BUMMED. but rent was DUE.
Boo hoo.
Sorry you miss your bikes Larry. I found that so many bikes come and go that I try not to get too attached because there is always another nice one coming along soon. I even sold a utra rare motron with a V2 but i have a few other oddities that have taken its place.
Vic, that is sick as hell.
