"i have ridden my moped with a walkman a couple of times. it is really a good experience. i think it is kind of dangerous though. there was a retarded guy in my town who used to ride a bicycle with a boom box hanging from the handle bars... it seemed to work for him. i have always wanted to wire some sort of stereo system into my bike. i think i would need a battery then though.<p><p>: Does anyone ride their 'ped with a stereo headset, like a Walkman or Discman? I can only speak for Florida in that it is illegal to have anything in or on your ears (hands free device excluded) while driving or riding. Some states will allow one ear. Here you would be required to buy stereo speakers that are fitted into the ear pockets in the sides of your helmet and do not seal your ear from outside noise. They work fine but have an issue with zero bass reproduction and low volume due to being such a small driver with an air gap to your head... plus wind noise etc.
