Jetting 15 mm Bing

I am running a Proma circuit pipe now on a 50cc Athena cylinder kit (6 Canal) regular 15 mm intake and 15mm Bing carb with a high flow air filter.

I am having a heck of a time getting the tuning right. I went through the whole 70

Re: Jetting 15 mm Bing

Check for air leaks...

You should have found the right jetting in that 70's to 80's range.

Re: Jetting 15 mm Bing

I second the air leaks, 90 jet sounds huge. Wrong forum man, save these questions for the performance page.

Re: Jetting 15 mm Bing

The carb and filter are brand new and screwed on tightly. Where else could there be an air leak? Cylinder gaskets are tight as well.

Thanks for the input though. Just don't know what to do anymore.

Re: Jetting 15 mm Bing

Get a can of carb cleaner and shoot it every place the could possibly leak air. You'll find it.

Re: Jetting 15 mm Bing

Make sure you check the had and base gaskets too.

Rob @t ATTN! Burrito /

your chrome is on wrong causing an airleak. probably on the intake, but could be anywhere. find it with carb cleaner. add gasket sealer to where it doesn't seal, drop your jet by 15 or so. you should end up in the mid 70's.
