I just bought a Foxi and I have some general questions.
So it has NO air box/filter. The carburetor is a Bing 85/12/101A and I have been looking to acquire some of the components from Moped Junkyard. I am having trouble figuring out which carburetor the available Sachs Air box/Choke Will it fit the Bing that I have? The "intake silencer end cap" is also no longer available. Is there a solution to this madness?
The moped junkyard is one of the last places to look for parts, since they have high prices as a general rule.You can go to the buy sell forum on this website, and search and/or place an ad that you want to buy a complete Sachs air box/ filter assembly. You can look on ebay too. Find someone on ebay listing a moped with a Sachs engine that has it listed as pick up only. Ask the seller if it has the complete air box/ filter assembly, and if they would ship that and maybe a few other parts you may need if you were to bid. Ask to ship the whole engine if you can spare the cash to ship it.
make sure you get the whole thing.
you need the part of the air box that bolts to your carb and has the choke and the spring in it, the airbox itself, the filter and the clip that holds it on.
BE VERY CAREFUL OF THE SELLER ON EBAY SELLING FOXI/SPARTA PARTS.
If you pay by paypal you should be ok, but dont send cash or anything nutty like that.
Yeah I have been looking on eBay for 504 parts for like a month now and I am barely finding anything. Ugh. So frustrating.
