Now I know

I figured it out the automatic shif in tomos's cant be measured by rpms i was think about it the other day and i was on a flat line and it scream reel high and then went in to second gear. But when i was coming down a hill it shifted at a real low rpm meaning its gaged by speed but then where do i go on my car it has a shifpoint a djuster behnd two gears its like an allen lock screw

It's a centrifugal clutch, for more on that there's this neat site called "how things work" but I don't remember the URL off-hand.

Or someone else could explain it - I know HOW it works, just no way am I able to put it in words comprehensible to someone else, is all.

Re: Now I know

Is a Tomos ever "dialed in"? If so, tell me the recipe and i'll cook up a batch for us all...heehee.

I'm ordering the bi-turbo this week...all i want is more torque...no more speed. I can't stop what I have now...

To each his own,
