has anyone done this? I'm thinking about going old school with mine and was wondering if anyone has pics of a maxi on whitewall tires.
(i'm thinking about powdercoating my wheels red, could look good with whitewalls IMO)

Check out this one http://www.mopedarmy.com/forums/discuss/7/69355/69255/ Keep in mind that 17" whitewalls are nearly impossible to get in the states but they can be ordered from Europe or Taiwan for about $50 a tire. The other option is to make your own.

I know the Black Widows have a secret stash, but they will not part with any of those white walls. They look so bad ass.

chris is that your ped? if so I've met you before outside a party down the street from where i live, it was on the corner of echo park ave, and Scott. Pretty sick bike there. That's actually similar to the setup that I was thinking of but red instead of orange with powdercoated spokes as well.

I have a set of 17-2s off a Newport that are in pretty good shape. They aren't real whitewalls but they have a nice white reflective stripe if anyone's interested hit me up.
