Just Installed 70cc Kit on Tomos

"Hey All,
I just got done installing a 70cc Kit on the Tomos. It gave me lots more pickup on these Pennsylvania Hills. The only drawback is it is alot louder. I had the Biturbo exhaust before but, It seems that the sound is coming from the carburator. You also have to trim the side cover to fit the new carb under there. By the way did you tomos riders notice that the Odometer is in Kilometers and the Speedometer is in MPH.
If anyone has any questions about the conversion, Email me or Better yet post a question and I'll Try to answer it
Don
"

"How much $$$, and how much faster?"

": : If anyone has any questions about the conversion, Email me or Better yet post a question and I'll Try to answer it
: Don
Don: I've been considering this swap for my otherwise stock Puch. The kits I've seen have been about $179 or so. I believe that this is for the jug and piston only. Is it necessary to put a new carb on, or is it possible to ""jet up"" the existing carb to work with the 70cc engine? I don't mind spending some money, but I don't want to spend too much, and then be dissappointed with the results. Do you have any actual speed numbers to share, or is it more of a ""seat of the pants"" improvement?
Steve M.
"
