I'm considering picking one of these up,.....are they big bikes (I'm a big guy)?

Cool bikes, the minarelli engine is good, but the XL is kinda misleading as they are one of the smaller top tanks I've seen. A Puch Magnum or a Sachs G3 are bigger.
I saw this on CL. It's totally sweet, but looks super small.
get a motomarina sebring. theyre pretty dang big.
I bet this thing would rip with a kit, pipe, intake and new carb
You could make a fucking sick custom build with that frame and engine though.
Thanks for the input everybody. I have been looking for a large (large for a moped) top tank. It sounds like this isn't the "large" top tank that I have been holding out for.
Pity,....because the Cimatti in question looks REALLY clean.
Yeah I saw it. Thats a good deal for a minarelli motor. The bike is pretty rare too. I wish he would trade my city bike for it
buy it!! you'll regret it later if you don't!! I almost drove down from san Jose!!
trust me,....i am so tempted to buy it, but I'm 6'4" and need to hold out for as large of a top tank as I can find.
I would buy it if so many people in this thread didn't tell me it's a small bike. It just wouldn't work out for a guy my size (I feel cramped on my Vespa Grande - and apparently that is one of the bigger bikes).
yeah, someone should get this bike for this price (the one in LA on CL). If I hadn't already driven to LA for my Sabre, I would run down and grab it in a minute, but as it is ... I am so broke. It's a great looking bike.
I would buy it if I werent leaving for kansas city on Saturday. It would be a really great ped
its a deal too at 395
I hear you,....but I've been told that the Derbi's, Moby Sebrings and Sachs G3's are the biggest of all the mopeds. I was hoping this Cimatti might be roughly the same size - but apparently it's not.
I think a lot of my cramped feelings come from the fact that I have primarily ridden enduro motorcycles over the years, prior to my Grande - and enduros tend to be tall, roomy cycles. I am not looking for something so unreasonable that it's going to give me motorcycle type comfort,.....but I would like one of the largest of the mopeds out there.
I would also look for (rare, but around) a Puegeot TSM (which is similar to all the others you mentioned). and, also, a great ride from what I hear.
I've seen 2 or three of these in person, and I always thought they were big. They are taller than my Sebrings, but shorter length-wise than them.
Go check it out. It's not a bike you see everyday.
Has anyone called the guy? I wanna know how long the line is. I totally want this. I would have to take it apaart and throw it in my car to take it home but hell it might be worth it
Your Citybike is the same thing without the crossbar and tank. You could convert yours into a top tank with little effort.
I'm not so sure its the same
the frame on the city bike looks to be elongated, more so than that of the Grand Prix. I guess you maybe right though it looks to be pretty similar otherwise
i have a grand prix XL and it rules.
ditch that minarelli and get to stuffing a tomos or something else in there
its gone :[
Bummer,......it's the height that I would like more than the length! I should have gone and checked it out!
