Taking in the angle of the ramp, height and angle of the bike is away from the ramp, an estimate of the weight of bike and rider, an estimated speed of approx. 57 - 64 kph he could indeed make it over shooting by about 4 - 7 ft. Booyah.

I'm not sure I'm believing overshooting by 8 feet but I will give you props for even trying.
I think the best thing for everyone is for you to clean out the chunder from between the jump, replicate the death defying jump, execute a no footer while doing so, and film it so we can SEE it when we BELIEVE it!

LOL nobody believes that i overshot that. oh well, maybe not in that picture, but i have overshot it by up to 8ft a few times prior. when i hit the ramp, i'm doing at least 30mph at WOT with a good 100ft run-up.
and about those shopping carts... they make great shock absorbers under the plywood. when my freinds and i MTB the crap out of that place, some riders cant clear that jump. so we put the shopping carts down because they have a little spring to them. and also so you dont case the jump and have the steering stem go through your lips into your teeth (its happened before on that jump).
whoever here has ever raced motocross can back me up on clearing this jump. this jump can be cleared easily at 20mph.
