Privatization, huh? You mean like selling off state responsibilities to the lowest bidder, with a race to the bottom where we all lose? Awesome!

The push for privatization of vital government functions is driven by corruption and greed. Look at what happened in Chile and Argentina in the 1970s! This move was driven mainly by the CIA and followers of Milton Friedman's teachings on economics. Privatization devastated both countries, and created small pockets of affluent citizens while the rest were left out in the cold (often literally). Think it can't happen here?
The "Free Market" is alright, but to speak of it with damn near religious awe, as if it can solve all of our problems is ridiculous. Ron Paul has good ideas, but mostly his beliefs consist of childish bootstraps arguments much similar to these:
_>I am big into letting the stong survive and the weak die._
_>Fuck why are we helping any of these jackoffs?_
_>fuck everyone else and their shitty problems._
I really really hate the mindset that poor people are poor because they are stupid or lazy or whatever. Obama is accused of being elitist, yet all the jackoffs who essentially say poor people deserve their fate are not considered elitist? Being born without a silver spoon in your mouth or being steamrolled by one of life's many shitty circumstances is somehow a personal fault. Replace "poor people" with "peasants" in any of these arguments and the arguments sound as if they were plucked right out of the Middle ages. That is how regressive this kind of thinking is.
